The lobby looks great but our room was dirty. The bathroom was disgusting, the floor of the shower was supposed to be white and it was a brown grey with mold in the caulking. I called the front desk with my complaint. I explained that...More
I was visiting Chicago on a business trip and stayed at the Essex Inn due to its proximity to McCormick Place. Since it was deemed a conference hotel, I figured that the quality would be average. To my surprise, it was below average.

This is my favorite hotel in Chicago. its not the classiest, but it had a great Chicago feel and the pool with balcony cannot be beat. The King Suites let you wake up over looking Grant Park and Lake Michigan, STUNNING! Plus it's a little...More
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of
the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.
