The gorgeous historic building speaks for itself--stunning and old world. This necessarily means the rooms cannot be the generous sizes of a modern cookie-cutter box, but the tradeoff works for me. The one exception: terrible choice of a bathroom sink for the space--really bad design decision. Otherwise, my room was very well appointed, if small, with a very comfortable bed,...

I was invited here to stay and It was a wonderful experience. The room was top class and I found no issues or problems. I would no doubt stay here again given the opportunity. Expensive but well worth the price of admission. Highly recommended!

We were fortunate enough to stay here for a business trip. The hotel room was decent (4 stars) though the shower was a bit weak; the room was clean and decent-sized. We had a cocktail in the Rendezvous Lounge and had nice Manhattans; there was a great wine by the glass menu (you can get a pour of Opus One,...

I was invited as a guest to attend a FEI meeting and hear a speech by former CNA-CFO Dennis Chookaszian. His speech was special and on target. The club has its act together as they know how to handle crowds and food well for association meetings and dinner. Both dinner and bar service were well done in a very warm...

We attended a wedding. Fantastic service. Rooms are small but recently renovated. Spa, pool work out facility is excellent. Great bar scene. Perfect location for inside the Loop. The wedding was over the top!

I get to stay here once a year for a conference and it's always a little intimidating, there are rules about jeans and shorts so it's a bit out of my usual bubble. However, the staff are always very nice, the food is always excellent, and the rooms are small, but well appointed and comfortable. It's a nice location downtown,...

Stayed here on business as it was venue selected by host. Not being from Chicago I assume this club carries old school status. The rooms are simple and comfortable, but not fancy. Have desk to work at and internet/wifi. Bathrooms are clean, but small. Only way to describe it is that they're a galley bathroom. So narrow! I didn't hear...

The union league club is a grand hotel - the rooms had grown tired and old the last time I visited. This time the upgrades were apparent. The bathroom was modern and clean. The bed and room were nicely updated. The location is good for loop and west loop locations. Parking is adjacent and convenient. The dining and conference rooms...

I stayed at Union League for 4 days with meetings in the club every day. My recollection from years ago was that the guest rooms were dated, but my room on this trip was nice and fresh. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were high quality. Everything in the bath had been updated. What most impressed me was...

“Ask for the newly renovated rooms without connecting space as TV and conversations/partying noise travels and is quite disturbing. If you object to using a service/ staging /delivery entrance when not attired to the dress code, you will feel like a 2nd class citizen being directed to the back door when wearing sneakers for touring, shorts after labor day, or jeans except on weekends.”
