There's a good reason that this hotel is closing down, and I would warn anyone considering it in the next few weeks. I got it through a Hotwire deal otherwise there's no way I would have stayed there, and was pretty upset that Hotwire would...More
I serve on a charitable foundation Board of Directors. I do not “charge” this organization for my time, flight, or travel. I found this hotel very reasonably priced and centrally located to Chicago’s restaurants and shopping. It was clean and comfortable. Decor is less than...More
The room was nice don’t get me wrong but it was a bit run down. Bathroom hadn’t been deep cleaned in a long time. Dust on trim and shower was not appealing. It looked nice but once you looked closer it was in much need...More

Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of
the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.

Our commenters are exactly right. If you make your way North on Michigan Avenue to Upper Wacker, you'll then turn right (heading East, towards the Lake) and proceed up another block. 5 minute walk all in.
