I recently came here for 3 days on my own from England, it's so easy to get around the city as the blue line train is less than a two minute walk, staff are very helpful and give you some great spots not to miss while here in Chicago. The roof top terrace is a great place to meet fellow...

My stay at IHSP Chicago was quite pleasant. It has a great location - Wicker Park is very trendy and the hostel is ridiculously close to the Blue Line, so easily accessible from both O Hare airport and Union Station. Be warned though, Wicker Park has a wicked night life and you can hear that all the way to your...

Everything you want in a hostel and more. The Starbucks coffee machine is awesome. The rooftop deck is beyond amazing. Dan at the front desk goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable in town. Like the title says - best hostel in town!

For a great inexpensive stay, the IHSP Chicago Hostel is excellent. I've stayed there two years in a row and both times excellent. I stayed for 5 days for the price of one night where I stayed for years, right across the street, the dump Congress Hotel. Well located, nice people, share a room with 3-4-5 nice people. I graduated...

IHSP was very welcoming when I arrived. Kevin put me in a nicer room that expected for the first two nights (without me even having to ask), and was very resourceful. Breakfast was typical of a hostel, but the pancake batter was delicious! The amenities were clean and always available, and the people were cool. I highly recommend staying at...

The IHSP hostel creates a false sense of humour and that one is enjoying their time at this hostel with comical signs and phrases scattered around the building. In reality the staff are sullen and quite frankly rude. The only good thing going for this hostel is the location, in the heart of Wicker Park, a trendy young neighbourhood with...

During a 9-day visit to Chicago, I stayed in three hostels – IHSP, Hostelling International, and the Urban Holiday Lofts. The reason for staying in 3 different places was that the holiday was booked at the last minute and no single hostel had the full 9 days available. IHSP Chicago was the first hostel I stayed in for two nights....

Had an awesome time at Chicago IHSP! I stayed here for a week in mid-May. It's the first hostel I've stayed in, travelling solo, and it was a great experience. Great location, only a few blocks walk from the train station, twenty metres from the supermarket/chemist and walking distance from a doctor (if you should be so unlucky as I...

Wicker Park is one of the best neighborhoods in Chicago for nightlife, restaurants, bars and shopping. Downtown is great for sightseeing but Wicker Park is where you will want to spend all your time. Take a look at our video and see how good our location is. You can literally see the trains on the Blue Line pass by a block away. Wicker Park is the hippest place in Chicago and is only 2 stops from the City Center and 5 stops from the Willis (Sears) Tower and Union Station. Our location and hostel is awesome and we know it! Come stay with us and you will see! Less than a 2 minute walk from the Damen Stop on the Blue line. We are not one of those hostels that charges you for everything, you will feel at home here.
