Comfort rooms, good location and clean bathrooms. Sometimes is a bit confusing, but it is a nice hostel to stay! They have free breakfast, close to a Walgreens (which I love!) and there's a lot of bars and restaurants in the neighborhood. Very easy to get to places since the subway is close. I recommend it.

Myself and a friend stayed here whilst travelling round America. We had a private room for the two of us but that didn't stop us making friends with other guests. Had an absolute ball here, such a friendly atmosphere, and good location with a train station nearby as well as shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend staying here, with reasonable...

Had a private room here. The room was fine, if small. Bathrooms are also quite nice, though if you get in before the cleaner, very dirty (why can't people clean up after themselves?). Breakfast is a shambles - I don't mind doing things myself but with no staff member present it's a bit wild and things run out and go...

Never reviewed anything in my entire life before. But IHSP Chicago is worth an exception. The place was located in a really cool and young area, with a subway connection straight to downtown as well as the airport. The neighbourhood around the hostel has a lot of exciting things to see just by itself, with it's cute coffee shops and...

If anything I'd give it a 4.5 but it won't let me. The smallest thing was the room temperature and they couldn't really control the fact that it just happened to be the two hottest days of the year for Chicago when we got there from Fort Lauderdale, hoping to get away from the heat and we're used to sleeping...

Such a welcoming place! Sam at the reception went out of his way to take care of my last minute reservation! Thursday night was a beerpong competition. I had so much fun meeting great people from all over the world, sharing travel experience and hanging out on the rooftop.

Loved my stay at the IHSP Chicago Hostel. Was made welcome by Sam and they was able to deal with all my troubles and many questions. Loved the free coffee and tea, and the place was really clean. They provided great travel tips and assisted me with getting to and from the air port. I will be back when I'm...

Great location in Wicker park, which has a lot of bars/restaurants that are open late. Safe area with a younger crowd, I walked around and felt very safe, even very late at night. There are a lot of common areas to relax, and the (super nice) staff also provides daily information on what is going on (usually for free) in...

They located very near to bus route and Blue line - Damen station, about 30mins ride to downtown, and 30mins to O'hare airport. They have clean and nice shared bathrooms, printing service, nice view from the rooftop, laundry service (need to pay) as well as self-service pancake breakfast. You can also keep your luggage in their temporary storeroom prior to...

I was only going to be in town for one night... was traveling alone, so I didn't need a place that was cute, romantic, family friendly, etc... I needed a bed for a few hours in between running around. I thought... cheap and easy... found this place, looked good, close to transport and in an interesting barrio. BAM... it was...

Wicker Park is one of the best neighborhoods in Chicago for nightlife, restaurants, bars and shopping. Downtown is great for sightseeing but Wicker Park is where you will want to spend all your time. Take a look at our video and see how good our location is. You can literally see the trains on the Blue Line pass by a block away. Wicker Park is the hippest place in Chicago and is only 2 stops from the City Center and 5 stops from the Willis (Sears) Tower and Union Station. Our location and hostel is awesome and we know it! Come stay with us and you will see! Less than a 2 minute walk from the Damen Stop on the Blue line. We are not one of those hostels that charges you for everything, you will feel at home here.
