The Pendry Chicago is a beautiful hotel with the friendliest staff. The views from our room were impeccable and the food was some of the best in Chicago. Specifically, Bar Pendry has a speakeasy vibe that’s feels both inviting and intimate. Every detail in the room screamed perfection. Looking forward to returning soon
That the Pendry is luxurious is obvious from the moment one enters the interior of this exquisite landmark building. The rooms, views, furnishings ... luxurious indeed. It, however, is the Pendry staff that makes staying here wonderful. The door and bell staff are the most gracious, kind, and helpful we have ever experienced. The reception, room service, and food staff were attentive, responsive, and friendly. All in all our stay was quite enjoyable.
Everything about the hotel was perfect. Service, cleanliness, luxury, etc. The location was great for access to the city. Only downside is because the location is so prime, it never gets quiet at night so you might have a couple horns or sirens wake you up occasionally. But honestly that’s just part of staying downtown and should not deter you from staying at this hotel.
We booked a block of rooms at the Pendry Chicago for our wedding. They were fantastic to work with. The staff was highly attentive throughout the whole stay and made us feel really special leading up to our wedding! The front desk staff in particular are fantastic. The building has a ton of history and the Pendry does a great job in honoring it. The rooms are beautifully furnished, clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are immaculate with luxury amenities. We had daily maid service and nightly turndown. Anything we needed, the staff provided quickly. Valet was the only negative. At one point they pulled out our car when we had not requested it. At check out when we wanted to get our vehicle, we waited almost an hour (I think everyone was checking out at once), resulting in backups with bell service. It was a busy weekend and they were understaffed, so plan accordingly. Overall we loved our stay and would return. If you want to feel truly pampered, this is the place!…
The experience was amazing, great rooms and location. Totally recommended if you need to stay around Michigan avenue. Very modern and elegant. Great customer service. Easy reservation, check in and out.
Amazing boutique hotel in a historic building. The staff were friendly and attentive. Hotel was centrally located on Michigan Avenue with 15-20 minutes from just about everything. I will definitely stay here again.
Had a fantastic stay at the Pendry Hotel in downtown Chicago. Located about a block away from the river, the staff were great as was the downstairs bar, and easy access to many of Chicago's famous landmarks.
My husband and I stayed at Pendry during our trip through America, we had a great time. Staff was amazing, from the Front desk Filipe and Joel to the housekeeper Louders, who cleaned our room everyday. Thank Pendry for the incredible stay, clean hotel, warm staff and beautiful architecture. Definitely recommend.
It’s a beautiful property, but some of the people at the front desk were pretty unprofessional, For example, when I called for an ice bucket and some ice, no one responded with any kind of alacrity, so I went down to the front desk and got it myself. Eventually the ice bucket arrived, but long after I got it myself. I couldn’t even understand the guy at the front desk giving me some kind of initial orientation. He spoke too quickly and seemed to mumble his words, as if he had done this too many times and was reciting it from rote. They were apparently supposed to offer us a spiked drink at check in, but didn’t offer it to us until check out the next day, and then the bar was closed. They are obviously having a hard time finding good, professional type people to staff their professional looking hotel.…
Very comfortable and clean rooms. Friendly, attentive and helpful staff (call out to the Front desk, to the Bell boy, to Shane at the Venteux restaurant and to Alex the Concierge!). Overall it was a great experience, but next time I will bear in mind that it is in the center, and that it seems Chicagoans like loud music in their cars ;)
