We greatly enjoyed our recent stay at Villa Toscano. The price compared to all hotels in the area was 1/3 the cost due to the Chicago Marathon. It is close to Evanston which was one of the places we went but also not far from Navy Pier and Shedd Aquarium. The neighborhood is teaming with activity. We walked up the street after dinner on Saturday and caught Blue Man Group Chicago. The room was not cramped and comfortable. If we come back to Chicago, we will definitely consider this location again.

If you want a clean, co-operative, really cool place to stay for a night or a week, this is the place. Great location (<1mi to Wrigley)! Easy access to the “L” and CTA busses. This was our 2nd stay. It’s an old home that’s been divided into separate rooms. 4 in the basement (we stayed in one of those this time), 2 around the side (stayed in one of those last year. Small, but clean and continental breakfast. Reasonable rates for what they provide imo.

The house is a classic in the heart of boys town and right next to Wrigleyville. It’s always amazing when you stay how many people stop and comment on how cool and original the space is in the city. The vintage house is well appointed and clean. If you’re a true B&B-er then rooms inside the main house share a common hallway bath, but there are also plenty of rooms with private baths as well. Let’s face it l, in the city location is pretty much everything and the Villa has that in spades.

It really is THE place to stay in the Boystown area. I've been coming back for over 20 years and the recent owners are making several great upgrades. New amenities in the rooms like a retro fridge! I really like the all digital building and room access - no more keys! The place is vintage so come with an appreciation for stately home nestled in between the other buildings. It's one of kind.

Our group of 4 booked two rooms on the ground floor for a two night stay. My partner and I had room 7 Neo-classic and our buddies had room 4. The rooms were small and perfect for what we needed, which was just a place to sleep and shower. There was a coffee maker and water station right outside the rooms which was extremely convenient. Each of our rooms had a private bathroom and a mini fridge. There was always more than enough hot water for showers. I enjoyed the cardless keypad entry for the doors so that I didn't have to worry about losing a keycard or room key. The owners left parking passes in our room free of charge! (I put in a request for them.) Parking wasn't too terrible to find and we found a spot to leave our car about a 5 minute walk down the road. The main house has a kitchen that is fully stocked with free breakfast foods, snacks, and drinks. The owners restocked it every morning. I would say the best part about this place is the location. We needed to be close to Wrigley and it was only a quick 10 minute walk. The house is tucked away from the street, so you get a more quiet ambiance than most other places nearby. Being in Boystown was perfect for the nightlife and food options, as well as a safer community. If you like your complete privacy and want to be left alone, then this might not be the place for you. But if you like to chat with new people and have a communal experience then stay here! We will most definitely be staying here next time we go to the city.…

Villa Toscana was perfect for what we needed in Chicago. It is extremely close to our venue so easily able to walk. The Villa is a little oasis off the street. A wonderful garden relax in. Our room was comfortable bed was great. The staff/owner was friendly knowledgeable and very helpful answering questions and giving us options for food and drink as well as shopping. Definitely consider this place again

What a delightful place in the middle of the city! So excited to get a parking pass included and the room was clean and decorated so great. Nice size private bathroom and the courtyard was so comfortable and peaceful. Great location. 10 min walk to Wrigley, the Lark next door great food and a great bar and a great back patio. Easy check in and check out. Great instructions. The only small complaint was that it was small quarters for the basement rooms and there was a lot of noise right outside our door with the microwave, coffee machine, guest chatter and hearing the doors lock and unlock. Upstairs rooms were also pretty noisy. BUT WILL STAY HERE AGAIN FOR SURE!

The manager was extremely helpful and inviting. The property was beautiful to look at. I found the bed to be extremely comfortable and it doesn’t get much better than the location. It’s very quiet inside of the property. The water gets very hot very quickly.

My first trip back to Chicago on two years found me staying at this delightful inn in the North Halstead area. My family was nearby, so it was the perfect choice The property is a turn of the last century Victorian home on Halstead Street. It's close to local transport, I used the bus to get around with no issues. My room was cozy and quiet, with an ensuite bath. There was a coffee maker in the hall, and a mini fridge in my room meant I had easy access to provisions. There's a Jewell Osco supermarket close by, too. The neighborhood is vibrant and lots of good places to eat are nearby. I had dinner my first night at Lark, just next door. Be sure to check out the magic show Trickery, just a few doors away, for a fun night out. We were surprised by a light dusting of snow during my stay, but that just added to the ambience. Definitely loved my stay. As a single woman traveling alone, bed and breakfast inns always felt safer and more comfortable. This lovely spot did not disappoint.…
