The staff was amazing and super helpful both when checking in and when asked about recommendations for dinner options. The room was clean and the beds were so comfortable! I would recommend this hotel to anyone spending one night or a week in Chicago!

Beautiful building in a great downtown location. We were in town to see ‘Twas Night Before Christmas at the Chicago Theater, we were able to walk to the theater and then take a quick Uber to the United Center to watch the Blackhawks play. Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast in the Executive Lounge was fabulous! Our room was spacious, bathroom was huge, there was a shower and a deep, oversized tub that I didn’t have a chance to use, next time!

Overall I had a pleasant stay. My room was big (executive floor), quiet and had a nice bathroom. The hotel has a business feel to it. I didn’t like the pool, it was in the basement and too humid, needed ventilation. My room wasn’t ready until 4:00, I thought they could’ve done better with that, since I was part of a very large group they should’ve known was coming early. The bathroom in the lobby was not so clean, a hotel of this caliber needs to do better with that, gives off a bad first impression.

A very unorganized hotel. No one had answers to anything. We were quoted a certain price. $200 more was added on said that was a deposit that we would get back at checkout. Well we never received that deposit back. Was told that parking was one price for all weekend. We were billed twice. Just an overall bad experience. Hidden cost they don't tell you about. I would definitely not stay here again for the price we paid. It wasn't that great of a hotel to begin with. Staff was very unknowledgeable about most everything had no answers. Very unsatisfied will not be back.

Like others who have left feedback I have previously stayed at a JW properties and they have been excellent. The service at this hotel was offensive. The front desk staff rarely made eye contact and were short or hostile in their responses. At one point the toilet in my room clogged and began to overflow. I called the front desk three time and there was no answer. I then hung up the room phone and planned to call from my cell, the room phone then rang and - I am not joking here- an angry woman stated “what?!” I responded “hello,” she then replied “hello?!” I was so taken aback that all I could say was - “are you OK?” And she mocked me in response with “are YOU ok?!” I told her that the toilet in my room was overflowing and she seemed to adjust her tact and said someone would be up. Less egregiously, but still problematic, the shower had faulty sealing on the glass door so the floor was soaked after each shower even when I attempted to aim the shower head away from the door. I told the front desk about this issue on the first day, then pointed it out to the employee who addressed the toilet problem, everyone seemed to agree that there was an issue with the seal- but no one seemed interested in addressing it. To summarize, I left this stay feeling like I was a problem to the staff. At no point did I feel treated as a guest.

We chose the JW for our recent stay because it wasn’t too far from the Auditorium Theater. It was also just a block from the Willis tower. The hotel was great! We asked the concierge for recommendations and both ladies were extremely helpful. The room was large, clean, and very nice. The beds were very comfortable. We ate in the Florentine for breakfast. It is expensive but the food was delicious and service was friendly and fast! The only advice I would give is don’t book a room on the 4th floor. If there are any conferences, this is where they meet, have their food services set up, etc. you must walk through them to go to and from your room. There are 2 sets of elevators but you still walk through them using either set. I would still return, just ask for a different floor.

I stayed here for work because I couldn't get in the closest hotel my colleagues were in. Nice room, clean, nice big bath, feels fresh and new.... but $15 a day for internet? Seriously? What is this, 2005? Thankfully I have hot-spot, but come on. I've not stayed in a hotel that charged it's guests for internet for probably 10 years now, and I've stayed in some rough places. This isn't a cheap hotel, it's expensive, so it feels a little scammy for you to gouge your guests for internet when they're paying $300+ a night.

As a Platinum member, i did not have a room upgrade. The room was very bad smell and shower leaking. I never got a bad jw experience like this hotel. The Executive Lounge was very crowed but dirty breakfast station, not neat. The staff was not attentive and not friendly at all.

We’re Bonvoy regulars, and we loved the JW Marriott. We were there for a family wedding. Really nice king room with both tub and walk-in shower in the large bathroom. Nicely appointed room. The Executive Level was excellent. Nice breakfast/lunch/cocktail hour (drinks are not included). Great coffee/espresso machines; nice spread for breakfast. Confusing list of hours for the weekend; said closed Sunday, but they were open? Update the info next to the door please….. Really nice craft cocktail bar in the lobby, complete with nice menu. Nice public areas; Italian restaurant (Florentine) on the second floor. Convenient to everything downtown. Nice staff. We really enjoyed our stay.

Hotel located in the heart fo everything. easy walking distance to numerous restaurants and the "El". If you are Marriott elite they have a great lounge too, along with usual fare one day offered smoked salmon on bagels with cream cheese and capers and another was peanut butter sandwiches with banana! Lounge staff is some of the ebst i have encountered, they truly enjoy their job!
