I am absolutely appalled by the customer service at this hotel and with the IHG corporation. I stayed at this hotel on Oct. 7 with some family members. I had paid upfront through a 3rd party (Booking.com). $408 was taken from my account prior to our stay. When I checked in, I advised that I had a reservation for 2 rooms for 1 night. The girl at the front desk told me that while the room was paid for, I still needed to give my card for incidentals and the money would be reimbursed. I used 2 debit cards, 1 for each room. Each debit card was charged $256. Stupidly, I noticed this but did not say anything because I figured that was standard and the pending charge would drop off the next when I checked out. The next day when I checked out, I mentioned that the amount was pending on my account and they told me that it would in fact drop off since I had already paid through Booking.com and my card was only being held for incidentals. I watched my account over the next few days and I was in fact charged $204.06 and $254.06 on one card and $221.81 on the other card. In addition, I paid $17.75 for parking and still had the $408.12 charge from Booking.com. I called and spoke with someone at the front desk. She had me leave a message on a manager's voicemail. No return call. I called back the next day and was able to speak to a "manager". He apologized and said he would take care of the charges and also credit my account through Booking so I would only have to pay for 1 room plus he would take off the parking charge. The only amount that was dropped was $254.06 from one of my cards. I still had the $204.06, 221.81, and $17.75 charges. I waited over a week and finally called back and asked to speak to a manager. Once again, I was put through to the voicemail of the director of operations and left a message. No return call. I called back multiple times, left messages, and spoke to the front desk with absolutely no help. I left a message on a Guest Relations voicemail at the corporate office in Georgia. No return call. I called the hotel I stayed at last week and finally spoke with a man named Tate. He found my reservation and told me that he would have to talk to his manager and he promised he would call me back that day. This did not happen. I ended up finding a chatbot online and was able to finally speak to someone on the phone from the Phillippines on Friday, Oct. 27. She took my information, gave me a reference number, and I was called back within 10 minutes from guest relations somewhere in the US. She told me that she credited the account and it was taken care of. When I asked her how much she credited my account she said $221.81. I told her that was great, but I had another card that needed to be credited as well. She said she knew nothing about that and she was only going to credit the one account. I went round and round with her explaining what had happened and she was finally able to find the other room we stayed in just by looking up the room number. Apparently, the reservation had been modified and I had 2 reservations (which I actually did not...I only had 2 rooms for 1 night under 1 reservation). She put me on hold for a very long time and finally came back and told me that she credited that account for $186.21. I asked her why that amount was when the amount that should have been credited was $204.06. She said it was because I still had to pay for parking. I explained that I already paid $17.75 for parking when I checked out and I had the charge on my account. She told me that I still had to pay for parking so she would not give me my full refund. Eventually, she put me on hold and finally came back to tell me that she gave me back the parking and I would now be credited $202.41. I again asked her why it was not the full amount that was given back and she said it was for fees such as gas and electricity that was not part of the hotel and that it was only $2 less than what I actually paid and I should not worry about $2. So, I ended up fighting with this hotel for 3 weeks and still did not get my entire refund...yes $2 is nothing, but it is the idea behind it. The whole thing is wrong. I will never stay at another Holiday Inn or IHG hotel again. Do better, Holiday Inn.

Our group of seventeen actually did the park and fly at the Crowne Plaza but unfortunately, their shuttle service when we arrived back at O'Hare was at best a horrible experience. The Crowne Plaza driver Ray treated our group like complete garbage, yelled at us and told us we were NOT his problem even though the hotel stated he would be picking up our entire group. He stated that he would be back in about an hour to get us but it would be again first come/first served. If we didn't like that, we should call Uber or some other shuttle service for all seventeen of us! He simply left us wondering what to do in 30-degree weather. The Holiday Inn driver Adrian overheard the conversation and once the Crowne Plaza driver left, Mr. Adrian apologized for his behavior and offered to take our entire group back to the Crowne Plaza. He quickly loaded everyone's luggage and brought us back to the hotel parking lot. His caring actions not only provided him a great tip but also gained seventeen individuals that will utilize the Holiday Inn next time we fly out of O'Hare! On behalf of our entire group, thank you and much appreciation to Mr. Adrian for his services. Holiday Management - you have a wonderful gem in a sea of employees!!!

Do yourself a favor and stay at the holiday inn Rosemont. Our party got mixed up about the two hotels near o’hare. Some of us ended up here while the rest stayed at the rosemont location. When we got to our room the fan was on in the bathroom and was extremely loud and was not on a switch. Then there was a sound coming from the fire alarm box and the smoke detector was missing altogether. I called the front desk who sent the maintenance person up. He looked at the missing smoke detector and asked me where it was? We had just checked in and there wasn’t one there. He said he would be back in 10 minutes to fix it. We had to leave. When we came back he had taped the vent in the bathroom and the red alarm box. Also on Friday night there was poker going on in the room right off the lobby. It was packed later in the evening. I assume the lack of parking was due to the number of people playing poker. The rosemont location was so much nicer. It has been renovated and is so much nicer than this hotel. While the employees of this hotel were very nice and accommodating, the age of the building is showing.

Chose this location based on proximity to the airport and convenience of having a 24 hour airport shuttle. I was only here to sleep for 3 hours. I found the facility to be clean and accurate matching it's description and pictures. Nelly checked me in and she was efficient, informational, and friendly. In our quick interaction she gave me all the information I needed on shuttle and where to get a slice of deep dish at 11 o'clock at night. Thank you to the staff of holiday Inn!

Clean room, needed a few repairs and updates. Outstanding staff! Lady at front desk phenomenal, friendly and helpful. Some areas of the hotel needs attention, cleaning and repairs. We prepaid for the breakfast, saved a few dollars that way. Full buffet breakfast was excellent! Scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit, pancakes and more! All fresh and the appropriate temperature. Even at full $14.95 price was worth it. We had dinner one night too. Large portions and delicious meals. My burger was cooked to order my husband had the generous chicken nachos. They were busy but the service was still timely. I would have given four stars instead of five but we had horror stories from others attending the wedding. They Paid triple what we paid and had a less than satisfactory stay. Great value!

Stayed here for 1 night for business. It's conveniently located near O'Hare airport and they have free shuttle pick ups and drop offs. After you land, call the front desk and ask them when the shuttle will arrive and they should be able to give you an accurate time. The shuttle picks up at the Bus/Shuttle Center which is located right next to the Hilton hotel. Follow the signs outside and just look for the hotel and you should be able to find the Bus/Shuttle Center. The hotel's lobby looks really nice and they have a spacious gym. The rooms are outdated and could use a renovation. TV is small and connection from remote to TV was slow. No issues with WIFI though. There were a couple of things that didn't meet my expectations. One is they have no water cooler in the gym, the first time I have ever seen that. I usually like to fill up my water bottles there but this hotel had none. Second, no free coffee in the lobby area. There is also no free breakfast, but they do have a restaurant on-site. I paid about $20 for the breakfast buffet which was tasty. They also have a little convenience store that was reasonably priced for drinks. If management could just spend a little more money to add a water cooler and free coffee, I think it would speak volumes to the experience.

The hotel itself was nice. The restaurant called Bar Louie had terrible service and when we checked out we found out why. No matter how many people 2 or what you order is 18% tip included so no reason to give decent service. They had a half off appetizers and you actually got half an appetizer and then as far as the tip went, they charged you 18% on the full price of the appetizer. Going to find another Hotel Restaurant when we fly out of Chicago.

I stayed here while I was getting some work done on my house. We live in the neighborhood. Besides being a bit dated this room would have worked for me if it wasn't so noisy. I was on the top floor and there was a constant loud thumping in my ceiling. The traffic noise was incredibly loud. New windows would have helped. The walls are paper thin and I would hear everything my neighbors were saying. I you're a strong sleeping this hotel would be ok but if you're a light sleeper like me avoid. Also we picked this place because of the pool which was closed and from reviews has been closed for years. I expect better from a Holiday Inn.

We stayed in an accessible room. The bed was great. The staff were very good and kind. The restaurant was good. The room felt cramped. The bathroom seemed in tune with the Holiday Inn brand (clean, brand color accents) but not the rest of the room. The room furniture seemed like it was bought from Target and hadn’t been updated in some time. The hot/cold shower valve wasn’t working right (too hot/too cold, impossible to dial in). There was no Property Folder anywhere in the room that gave restaurant hours. There really wasn’t a dedicated space to take your pets. One really cool thing was that the elevators would take you to your floor, then return to the lobby, and open up. It was a symbolic way of saying“Welcome.” The staff were warm to our dog. There are 3 Holiday Inns in close proximity to each other. I think most of them go by some permutation of Chicago plus O’Hare. So, it’s easy to get them confused. Know before you go. I would not hold a meeting there, I don’t think. We were there for a sad occasion. The room wasn’t great. But, for what it was, we were glad to get back there each day.

Hotel is dated. Restaurant “bar Louie” has deteriorated significantly. The biggest problem is they now have a large contingent of illegals houses here. Even have a school bus picking children up. Several security guards here. Takes up to 10 minutes to use elevator since guards limit capacity. This hotel will never get my business and I’ve been a consistent customer for 10 years.
