Traveled to see “Da Bears”. Our luggage was stored for us while we went to the game before check in time. Very efficient and secure system. Clean rooms, peaceful environment. We got a great nights sleep followed by a good breakfast.
Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights for business. It’s located in downtown across from the McCormick Place with a bridge that connects the 2 buildings. Even though they are next to each other, expect yourself to walk 20-25 minutes from one place to the other. Pros: Pretty good location as there’s a starbucks located in the lobby and a few restaurants/bars next door. Service was good for the most part. Only knock is the lady who checked us in didn’t acknowledge our Hilton Honors status. Hotel felt clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. Good night’s sleep. Cons: Besides the check-in process, the only other thing I can mention is the security at night time can be beefed up. There was a transient walking around the street in front and was border line harassing us and others. During the day, security was present but I didn’t notice any at night. This hotel is not cheap and you are paying for the location but if you have the budget for it, I would recommend staying here.…
I came into town early in the morning, after a raging party and not enough food. I had been traveling for more hours than I care to admit, and I was running on fumes. All I wanted to do was plop on the bed and nap. And when I got to the hotel, there weren't any clean rooms available that early before check-in. But DeAndre turned that whole experience around! I know he could tell I was running ragged, and he did all he could for me. He let me into the more spacious bathroom so I could change clothes and splash my face with water. He sent me to the restaurant so I could eat. And he gave me my Hilton Honors welcome pack with water early. Then, as I was sitting in the lobby waiting, he noticed me, and as soon as a room became available, he let me know. And I took an epic nap and had a wonderful trip. Thank you, DeAndre!…
It was an easy check in process. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was nice and suggested stuff in neighborhood. There is plenty of places eat right next door. It literally connected convention center on third floor. We were there in business for sweet & snack expo.
My room was paid for by direct check and I was assured that all I had to cover was incidentals. They then charged my card fraudulently, receiving 2 payments for the same room. Upon calling customer service I was told that they would refund me writing 24-48 hours. Which is unacceptable considering, I should not have been charged at all.
This is not a good choice of hotels, my wife and I checked in, took a nap, and woke up to a bed bug crawling on the bed. I caught one and posted it below. We checked out of the hotel immediately, and reported the incident to Hilton. Let’s find out how they handle it! By the way, I gave the bed bug to the receptionist.
There’s a quick-dial button on the phone that says “Room Service” but when I called the front desk said they don’t offer room service. I was confused and mentioned I hit the “Room Service” button and instead of offering an explanation or alternative he repeated, “There’s no room service.“ Also, I checked the large hanging mirror facing the bathroom with the “fingernail technique”. There should be a gap in between my finger and my fingernail’s reflection but there is no gap: a telltale sign that it’s a two-way mirror. This is the FIRST time this has happened in all my travel experience. So scary!
Poor service, charged for a night after I checked out, room would not cool, restaurant service was terrible, and will not refund my money. 35 years of business travel and worst customer service ever. I was thanked for checking out early and then billed for a night I did not stay. Will not credit me either.
I arrived for my stay and the Hilton Garden Inn was overbooked. They charged me a "no show fee" which amounted to the cost of one night's stay. I was assured by management it was their error and would be reversed. It was not! I attempted to dispute the charge for 3 months without success. They are crooks. They charged me and lied. I'm disappointed and happily never booking Hilton again.
1st, upon Arrival we received an Early check-in on the highest available floor Thanks Daniel, when I returned the baggage cart DeAndre immediately took care of the return. Such a warm/welcoming lobby atmosphere that I wanted to share how AMAZING our Experiences were. 3rd, I received a text asking if we needed Anything and we did(toothbrushes) and it was taken care of immediately. BRAVO Hilton Garden Inn McCormick, Great Location, Clean, Modern. My Granddaughter and Friends enjoyed the pool for her Birthday Celebration.
