I recently helped plan an event for over 100 guests, and Hotel Zachary was very accommodating. Hotel staff were extremely patient and helped ensure that the event ran smoothly, despite multiple guest list changes. All of our guests had a positive experience and were extremely complementary. I am very appreciative of their efforts and highly recommend staying at this upscale hotel!
A beautiful hotel across from Wrigley Field. We loved our king room facing the neighborhood, it was quiet and spacious. Bed was comfortable although a little firm for me. Bathroom is large with a generous shower. The decor is modern and masculine. We took advantage of the valet parking with multiple in and outs. The valet was prompt and friendly. The front desk staff were also excellent. We also loved the coffee shop and bakery on the first floor. Pro tip: We stayed here when the Cubs were out of town, it was quieter and less expensive.
The Hotel Zachary is a fantastic hotel in one of the hottest and active parts of the city! The location is amazing, as depending on your room, you can get a beautiful look at historic Wrigley Field! The location is also within walking distance to so many different things, like restaurants, bars, shops and so many other attractions. The room I stayed in was well more than I could have asked for! It was a larger room than I expected, with comfy, clean and new furniture! The room also had many different references to Wrigley Field and Cubs history, but it was not over the top and was tastefully done! Overall my stay at the Hotel Zachary was fabulous and I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking to stay in the Wrigleyville area of Chicago!
This is an obvious summer choice across from Wrigley Field but it’s very special at the holidays. The neighborhood is decorated and the pop-up Christmas shops open up at the stadium. The hotel is well appointed, clean and comfortable. The only thing missing is in-room coffee. You have to walk down to the lobby bakery and it doesn’t open until 7am, which is late for us.
Great hotel if you need quick access to the the north side of Chicago! Very comfortable rooms, really spacious and clean. lots of food options nearby, awesome views of Wrigley. And the staff are super friendly and helpful! Close to transit lines if you want to do touristy stuff and a quick walk to the lake if you want that too.
This is a fairly new, very well maintained hotel with a wonderful design and many architectural drawings of the old ballpark on the walls. Atmosphere is special as soon as you walk in. We got a ballpark view room, which seems unnecessary, I guess, since you can't actually see into the stadium, but... we really enjoyed out view of the old facade and very much enjoyed watching kids having catch on the astroturf green outside the stadium, while their associated adults grabbed a brew from some of the adjacent bars. It was chilly for our games and my wife appreciated the one-minute or less walk back to the hotel after the 7th and 8th innings, respectively (and then watched the rest of the game on a big screen attached to the side of the Cubs' office building which was right outside out window! I toughed it out through the whole games, but it was also nice to get back quickly. On the evening after our day game (and after a quick dinner in an oyster bar---one of several restaurants on the same street as the hotel), we bought a beer and joined a couple hundred Chicagoans on that same green where they had chairs set up and were showing the film "A League of Their Own" on that outdoor big screen TV (the sound was fed through high quality speakers, so it was easy to watch and listen--really a unique experience that made you appreciate how much a apart of the neighborhood Wrigley has become. Wrigleyville, in general, feels safe and is a lot of fun. The hotel has a bakery in the street level entrance for breakfast and a McD's a few doors down. There'a also a Foxtrot cafe across the street with some breakfast sandwich availability. Both have coffee menus. There's a bar in the hotel lobby proper up on the second floor with some food options, although again, there are multiple restaurants in the same block and the one up the street. The rooms are very nice and clean, if not enormous. A nice touch... there was a copy of a book about the Chicago Cubs Curse in the room, for those who want to immerse one's self in that little local history! Highly recommend this place. Friendly staff, a beautiful hotel with a great vibe. Unbeatable location!…
I can not say enough nice thing about Hotel Zachary! I have been in the hotel industry for quite some time and all of work experience has been in Hospitality. My boyfriend had stayed there before and LOVES it. I however am a hard one to please when it comes to hotels. I was blow away! Everything was PERFECT! The room was super clean and beautiful. We had a room over looking the ballpark. Worth every penny. Staff was nice from the Front desk to Waitstaff. The hotel bar is breathtaking! I can't wait to come back and make more memories. Thank you Hotel Zachary team for such an lovely weekend! See you soon!
This hotel is amazing! The staff is wonderful and it made our stay unbelievable! I can’t say enough good things about this establishment! Every employee went above and beyond to make sure we were 100% taken care of! This place is FABULOUS!! Thank you!!
We stayed at the Zachary because we were going to Wrigley field for a Cubs game. We got a lot more than we expected. First, we received the best welcome from a front desk that I have ever experienced. Andrea, the front desk clerk should teach how to welcome guests. She did great. The room was great. We stayed on the 6th floor and faced Wrigley. Lots of activity in the area so there is a lot to see besides the ballpark. The breakfast was great and the staff was consistently friendly and helpful. This is an extremely well run hotel, with a great location, great service and great rooms. It would be easy for this hotel to just rest on its location, but it delivered in every category. Can’t say enough good things.
Really enjoyed my 3-night stay there this month. Very nice building, and bedroom/bath amenities were top-notch. I had a 6th floor room looking out at Wrigley Field, directly across the street. Lots of restaurants and pubs in the neighborhood. A couple of suggestions..... first, the front desk people in my few interactions with borderline surly and not very welcoming. Second, its great there is a Peloton bike in the gym. HOWEVER, the pedals are only for cycling shoes, not for regular trainers. This is an easy fix and opens use of the Peloton to everyone, not just to those who bring their cycling shoes on a business trip (I'm not one who does)
