theWit is intelligently renewing one of the original "It" locations on the corner of State (the great) Street and Lake. Its history is rich with artists, theatre people, journalists and musicians as it is nestled between the theatre district and the river. Blending the amenities of a resort with the flair of a boutique hotel, theWit has brought a new energy and vitality to the downtown Chicago Loop. Striking design, unparalleled comfort, and remarkable services create a dramatic sensory experience. This is a destination for anyone who gets "It" or at least wants to.
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.

We stayed at theWit during a weekend trip for a show. Our suite was fantastic - very spacious, welcoming, and accompanied by a great view. The only dock of a star was for the bed. My wife and I didn't get the best sleep on...More
We always have a great experience when we stay. I would recommend it to everyone. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful. The restaurant serves a nice selection of food and drinks. The restaurant staff is great.

yes, but it isn’t that great.. the view is average. expensive food and drinks and no better than some of the executive lounges Hilton has outside of the US.
If you go in the evening, the dress is business casual.
