Stayed here on arrival in Chicago. The place is a little out of town but probably one of the cheapest places you will find. It was decent enough for the money as long as you don't expect luxury, the bed was comfy enough, the bathroom was passable. The electrics were a little bit ropey but I guess they call that...

My wife and I stayed here for one night to watch a show at Wrigley Field. It was a basic, very clean, inexpensive, free parking with a free no frill breakfest motel. I read that the AC could be loud so I brought a fan. No hairdryer and only small bar soap is provided. Very close to Vietnamese/Chinatown on Argyle...

I stayed here in April 2012 and was not very satisfied with the front desk or my room. I booked a room for 2 nights and was quoted a price. When checking out the price was different. I also booked a room with a king sized bed and upon entering the room found a full size bed. The exterior door...

If you're looking for a cute little place in a charming area, this isn't it. It's a clean, no-frills motor hotel on a busy street, across from a body shop, with a desk clerk behind safety glass after dark. It's close to Andersonville but doesn't feel like Andersonville. (It's actually Edgewater.) The rooms are basic but well-maintained. A decent option...

Pluses are: 1) the location if you want to be centered near the popular Andersonville area 2) under $100 for a clean room (and not a "hooker motel") in Chicago is pretty good 3) the free parking with easy in/out (we've stayed at many popular hotels in the northside of Chicago but have always had to deal with valets or...

I was in town for Riot Fest in early October 2011 and stayed at the Heart o' Chicago for 5 nights. I can echo the positive comments from all of these reviews and dismiss the few negative ones simply by stating-- this ain't the Ritz-Carlton, so what did you expect? Yes, the last renovation was probably in the 80s but...

We were visiting for parents' weekend at DePaul. The two other hotels we've stayed at in the past were sky high ($190 or more per night). We decided to give this one a try. While it wasn't the worst hotel by far, there were enough negatives for us that we probably won't stay there again. In fact, if we'd been...

My motto for my stay at Heart o' Chicago would be «Dont worry, be happy». It is indeed a good motel for the money you pay. I was at this establishment for 5 nights as a base to visit Chicago. The welcome at the reception is not very warm but I got over it. The breakfast is ok: coffee and...

I have stayed at this motel several times over the years and most recently last week. When I visit Chicago I usually meet a friend and we spend the night hitting the clubs in the Halstead street area. We have been staying at this motel not because it is anything fancy but because of it's location and it is one...

Family owned Motel takes you back in time to the 1950's or 60's. It's a very well kept place and Clean. You open the door and you can smell the use of bleach and pledge. It's not overwhelming but it's very clean. The paneling has been painted but the look is a back in time experience our bathroom was all...
