The Palmer House is like an old shoe; a little dog-eared in places but exceedingly comfortable. I find the photos of entertainers who graced the stage of the Palmer House in the 30s-70s interesting. They are in every hallway and recall a bygone era. The Palmer House has done a nice upgrade of the equipment in the fitness room. It...

We visited Chicago recently and chose to stay at the Palmer House Hilton. We decided not to get a rental car, using the excellent public transport from the airport instead (blue line) and the hotel was very convenient to the nearest stop. The Palmer House is elegant, well appointed, and reminiscent of an earlier era. Our room was excellent, and...

The lobby is stunning. All decor has been maintained since the inception of this property. It is like taking a walk in history. The room floors have pictures of all the entertainers that performed there in the 50's and 60's. Very chic and cool. The restaurants and bar have a rather sophisticated menu offering a large scotch whiskey selection. The...

I was fortunate to stay for 4 nights at the Palmer House while attending a conference. The hotel is fantastic in every way - the lobby is stunning, the staff is world class, and the food is to-die for. My room was very comfortable, though small (which is the case in a lot of older hotels, and this one is...

This was my first time at the Palmer House. From the historic lobby on, I had a great stay and am looking forward to coming back! I have begun business travel after a hiatus of several years, and will be looking at Hilton properties more closely than I have in the past, based on this experience. Looking forward to more...

It was the most beautiful hotel I've stayed in, with quality, tasteful furnishings and friendly staff. It was a pleasure to stay here. The conference room was comfortable and food great. If you're in Chicago I'd reccomend it.

The recently renovated, 1920's era Palmer House (its third iteration since its conception in 1871 by Potter Palmer-decorated by his wife Bertha), is located on State Street at the center of Chicago's Loop, just two blocks from the Art Institute, Grant Park, and Michigan Ave. Just to experience the magnificent two story lobby in grand French Empire style is worth...

The hotel is in a great location. It is definitely old and a little spooky but very beautiful. Great artwork throughout. Had a bloody mary at the lobby bar and it was one of the best I've ever had. Didn't have a chance to try and of the restaurants but did do some exploring of the famous ballrooms. It's a...
