Friendly staff. Great to be able to valet car, leave luggage and catch L-Train to Wrigley Field. When we came back and checked in, we found there was an issue with the air conditioning / heat unit in our room. Marsid from maintenance came up tried fixing. When that didn’t he said he would come back and replace it while we were at dinner ( even though it was after time for him to leave for the day. Was a great Father’s Day weekend stay and the CUBS won.
There was a door seal after the cleaning/disinfecting. I like the idea. The room was sparkling clean. It is a newer Hampton so the design is smart and sleek, but still very comfortable! Spacious too! The quiet ventilation system is an add on bonus. The location is excellent, a bit out of the busy area, but easy access to main road so we can get to major attractions (such as Science Museum) and disappointing nice restaurants within 20 - 30 minutes. Even with the $35 valet parking per day, it is still cheaper than other downtown hotels. We were in and out multiple times in the day, sometimes just need to take something from the car. Text the valet person and the car was at the front door within 10-15 minutes. Way better than the $50 valet at downtown hotel. New design comes with new pain though – no bar nor hook at bathroom. How can we reuse the towel?? The big concern was NO SAFE. They eliminate it at most newer Hampton. But this is Chicago! We carry our office (laptop) everywhere. Used to locked them in hotel room safe when we were out. Without safe here, we had to carry all valuables and sensitive device with us all the time (in the car) which was very inconvenient. We all work a bit at night. Standard Hampton hot breakfast. Good. Receptions and employees were friendly. Should it install a safe in guest room, it would be my number 1 choice at Chicago.…
Modern and clean hotel. Would rate it as “good” except hotel staff elevated experience to “outstanding.” Friendly, helpful and genuinely seem to enjoy what they do. Excellent experience. Terrace on roof was an unexpected bonus. Accessible location.
I liked the 12 pm checkout and valet parking was convenient. They had a lot of nice options for hot breakfast. I enjoyed the oatmeal with toppings and eggs, bacon and potatoes. I was surprised at how quiet our room was and it was close to everything
The breakfast was mediocre although I'm glad they offered it but I only enjoyed a few of the items. The carpet in my room was very soiled! The staff was very friendly and pleasant. I was impressed by the spacious room and bathroom. The location was great!
Cleanest hotel bathroom I've ever had. Lobby was very bright and clean. Breakfast was good and convenient. Valet was easy in and out. Neighborhood is nice. There are convenient restaurant and fast food options nearby.
This is my fourth stay at this hotel and I have always found the employees to be kind and helpful and everything working without a hitch. However, this time around my room had a problem with the thermostat and heating, and although it's March, the last two days have been very chilly, and the heater was emitting cool air most of the time, rather than warm air, even when I turned the thermostat up to a high temperature. This was very bothersome to me (I didn't want to change rooms since otherwise my room was perfect), so I talked to the front desk about this, and Mirsad, the assistant engineer of the hotel, was in my room ASAP and checked the thermostat, the unit itself, left to get a part, showed immense concern for my well-being (I was cold, especially at night), and took care of the problem. I was impressed by this employee's professionalism and the effort he made to ensure the heating/cooling unit and thermostat were working well. I have yet another three days here at the hotel, and my room is now warm and comfy. Excellent customer service, which is what it's all about.…

This is our fourth stay at this Hampton Inn and continues to be our first choice when visiting. Our room has always been comfortable and clean and the staff has always been personable, pleasant and helpful. Especially the dynamic duo at the front desk of Carlos and Sabina! Sabina was at the front desk when we checked in and there was a minor hitch with my reservation, which she fixed in about 3 minutes. Her kindness was apparent everytime we saw her. And to see Carlos again, who we knew from previous visits. What a great representative of your company. It was no surprise to hear he had received a promotion since our last visit. We will look forward to seeing his smiling face on future visits. Yes, if we haven't been clear, we like your hotel and recommend it to anyone looking for a places to stay in the area.…
Very run of the mill, expected more from the brand and the price. Fixtures in my room were falling from the walls, the breakfast was unacceptable. Even the cabinetry in the room the doors were about to fall off! Needs work.
