My boyfriend and I stayed at B&B by the River over the St. Patrick day weekend and we up for the curling. We had never been to a B&B before and were not sure what to expect and what we found was perfect for us. We were given a room downstairs with our own entrance so we could come and...

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the B&B by the River. We were only there for one night, unfortunately. The hosts are very friendly, welcoming, and relaxed. We were very tired upon arrival, so we were shown to our room very promptly - much appreciated! The "Upstream" room where we stayed was immaculately clean, very comfortable, and very quiet....

What a charming home with great hosts! My husband and I stayed at this B&B after travelling for 3 days. This was our last vacation day and we just needed to have a quiet peaceful last day of vacation to recover from our busy trip - this was a perfect choice! We stayed in one of the Downstream room, which...

We stayed for one night. A B&B in the woods. At final road is dirt/gravel; however, GPS found without any problems Wonderfully quiet and a chance to see the stars in a very dark sky. The owners are very personable and make the effort to ensure that every thing is right. Very clean with a very comfortable king size bed...

My third time at Lydia and Johannes was a really fantastic time. The big breakfast feed like a Moose is one of the things what i really miss. I had funny times and nice conversations with Johannes and Lydia and many of the neighbours around. ;-) Johannes is one of the best Chefs in the Kitchen and on the Barbecue....

Dear Lydia and Johannes, Thank you for for making us feel like home, from the moment we arrived, and sharing your place with us. We were impressed by the nice and clean rooms, the comfortable beds and the delicious breakfasts. Lydia's home made bread and Johannes scrambled eggs can not be compared with anything. Even my 11 year old daughter,...

It is twelve months since Keith and I found this lovely Bed & Breakfast. We were met by Lydia and immediately taken up to their decking to meet Johhannos for a cup of tea. They are the most perfect hosts and you can tell they love sharing their home with visitors. Our room was very clean and spacious with views...

Stayed at this lovely B&B on two separate occasions at start and end of our drive around Cape Breton. It is a beautiful, peaceful setting by the river with superb outlook. We were warmly greeted by Lydia and Johannes and showed to our very pleasant and clean room downstairs. It had everything we needed. Lydia and Johannes were extremely friendly...

We found this place at the last minute after arriving to Port Hawkesbury and not having a place to stay. From the moment we arrived, we received such a warm welcome that didn't end until after our departure. Both Lydia and Johannes were wonderful hosts! Our bed was very comfortable and the entire house was clean. We spent a very...
