Well, what can I say... I will start by saying that the only negative I could find about The Grove, was the not so nice walk into Narberth. It is somewhat out of the way, but that was perfect for us, and we were advised that the walk into Narberth isnt great, and after driving it, thats due to limited pathways and windy lanes. But who wants to walk into Narberth anyway when you have somewhere as amazing as this to stay!! The gates open at the same pace of life at The Grove - its sooooo relaxing. Rooms - amazing (we stayed in Sage with our dog Lola, and she was given a doggy basket with treats, blanket etc. - she was even given a sausage at breakfast!), loads of space, a garden, and the decor in rooms and hotel is stunning, staff are so friendly, passionate and attentive but never intrusive. The food was incredible (see separate review for the Fernery), its great to stroll the grounds (which are very well kept), its a short drive to beach walks (Saundersfoot etc.). Room had complimentary drinks, we were given a 'gift bag' on departure (both nice touches) - I simply cant say enough good things about The Grove and its staff. Thankyou - we will be back!!…
A fabulous, dog friendly hotel. The room was beautiful, the food delicious and the service was excellent. All the staff were charming and nothing was too much trouble. The attention to detail makes the Grove stand out as a very special place to stay. They also served the best scones I have ever tasted! They are very dog-friendly and being able to do early morning and evening walks around the extensive grounds made our visit even more enjoyable.
Have waited a long time to get around and visit at the Grove. Hotel. Only wish I’d made the effort 10 years ago but we shall certainly be back this year the food , suite and staff were wonderful, a credit to the hotel . Outside the grounds and garden are lovely with amazing views of the Prescelli hills. Thank you Grove hotel for a lovely stay.
We had a fantastic 2 night stay for my wife’s birthday. We stayed in Bramble’ which is one of the cottage suites (free upgrade), it is a lovely suite blending old with modern and with a glass conservatory where you can sit in comfort. The food is wonderful, we ate one evening in the ‘fernery’ and had the 8 course tasting menu, well worth the money and experience. All the staff were very friendly and were happy to attend to any of your requirements. A fantastic break and I would come back in a ‘heart beat’.
This hotel it truly amazing. I booked it as part of my husbands Christmas present and it didn't disappoint. The staff were outstanding the room we stayed in was superb and very comfortable and even had a complimentary mini bar which was a lovely touch. We ate in the Artisan restaurant which was wonderful. We will definitely be going back to this hidden gem. 10 out of 10 Thank you
I don’t want to say too much about our stay as I wouldn’t want to spoilt the surprise of all the little extras this hotel gives but I can honestly say it was exceptional in every sense. We rarely return anywhere as there are so many places to visit but we are already planning when we are going back……congratulations to the whole team and thank you
Another excellent stay here. Keen, enthusiastic and well-drilled staff. Lovely newly refurbished room (Cresselly), dual aspect looking over the terrace and side grounds, super freestanding bath plus large separate shower in the bathroom (also with a window overlooking the side grounds). Food in the Artisan Rooms was good (although the menu didn't change during our 4 day stay) and we had a super meal in the Fernery - quite why this restaurant doesn't yet have a Michelin star is a mystery!
A truly special stay booked direct for my wife's birthday. We were lucky to be treated in the Daniel & Elisabeth Suite. Welcome and general customer service was second to none. Fantastic 5 course tasting dinner with great wines. Will definitely come back - at a different time of year to experience the grounds in another season.
My husband and myself stayed 2 nights at the Grove. From the welcoming warm mulled cider on arrival followed by a room upgrade which included a complimentary mini bar, we thought things couldn't get much better! However dining in the Artisan rooms on our first night and the Fernery on the second night, the experience suppassed our expectations, the food was delicious, staff so friendly and professional. We can't wait to visit again.
Our 2 night stay was perfect, lovely room, comfy bed and delicious dinner and breakfasts. All staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks to Abbie the sommelier for excellent wine recommendations. Absolutely faultless, would definitely visit again
