We had a workshop for teachers in Bishop Hill and used the Twinflower Inn. Stayed the night before in the Woodpecker Room. When I arrived, I was greeted by Kimberly. She was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. While the foyer/staircase was on the cool side, the rooms were very comfortable....

This whole town is fascinating, and the Twin Flowers BNB is really cool! The host, Fox cooked a great breakfast, the bed was super comfortable. Great conversation and interesting people. There was a whirlpool, parking out front for our motorcycles, just a really relaxed place. Fox has a honeybee hive and he names the bees after his guests. Really unique...

My favorite weekend is to go up to Bishop Hill when Fox tells stories around the bonfire, then we retire to one of the rooms at the Twinflower and wake up to a delicious breakfast. We explore the town and leave with baked goods from the village Bakery and unique candy from the general store. Friendly innkeepers, a quiet small...

We stayed here two nights in the whopping Crane room. The owners, Kim and Brian, are such nice persons. If your lucky you will here some storytelling from Brian who is a proffesional storyteller. The house is lovely with losts of interesting things to look at. It is surrounded by a garden and we woke up to birds singing and...

I've stayed here three times, always on my way back to Chicago from business further south. Each time gets better. I think there are only four or five guest rooms, but each is unique and has character. The shower pressure is only OK, but the rooms have always been really clean, get good light and views to nice gardens (which...

Twinflower Inn – Bishop Hill, Illinois I attended a writer’s retreat led by the owner of this charming B&B. We had a great time, shared some wonderful stories and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere in this historic building. Here is my attempt at a poetic review: “Floorboards tell the tale of a well-traveled past Cleanliness speaks of care, pride, attention to...

More than the FANTASTIC breakfast and the beautiful rooms, I really just loved the spirit of the community while I was visiting. People we ran into in town were so friendly, and at breakfast, when all of the guests sat with the innkeepers and talked about our lives, I felt like we were part of their family. They were very...

Great breakfast. Not welcomed right away. Walls thin heard some of the conversation in the next room. Came home with a roach in our luggage. I will not visit this place again. Think twice before you do.

When I first pulled up to the Twin Flower Inn, I was fascinated by the pure beauty of the place. That feeling of fascination continued as I walked through the front door. The character of this building is truly remarkable. One of the neatest parts of the house, is at the top of the stairs where there is an indentation...

Wow! Absolutely wow... This house is just fabulous. The old hospital is now turned into a gorgeous bed and breakfast with wonderful themes in each room. It is beautifully restored into a one-of-a-kind bed and breakfast. I would definitely consider visiting again if I were in the area!
