What an incredible vacation spot! The scenery is absolutely amazing! Swimming, horseback riding, fishing, hiking, games, archery...you name it- they have it!! My 11 year old asked when we are going back, 5 minutes after we left! The family who owns the ranch is positively wonderful and the rest of the staff are clearly committed to everyone having the time... More

My wife and two children (10 and 11 y.o.) booked this trip with no expectations other than wanting to spend some quality time together. Little did we know that we were embarking in a true adventure. Coming from a big city (Los Angeles), we were lost on the way, as we took a couple of wrong turns and the location... More

Our family of 8 (3 generations) spent a relaxing week at Diamond D Ranch. We received a warm welcome from the family and staff; they learned our names and sought to give us individualized attention. The large cabin at the edge of the immense grassy area was perfect. Running through the sprinklers and perfecting cartwheels on the grass was fun... More

After our first day at the Diamond D, our kids were already making plans for when we could come back. The people (kitchen staff, wranglers, everyone) were welcoming and genuine, and they really just want to make it the best experience possible. The horses are amazing, taking us up ridges for some of the most spectacular scenery the west has... More

My husband and I spent a week here and it could not have been more perfect. The staff and family that own it are the sweetest. The setting is incredible. Even sitting on the front porch in the evenings is so special. You are far away from all the stuff that is life. I would highly recommend a stay here.... More

Although the gravel road to the ranch is narrow and long, the Diamond D Ranch is well worth the journey. The ranch has its own hydro electric power and is quite green with watering from the creek on the property. We stayed in the two bedroom cabin which was very comfortable. The horses are VERY well cared for and well... More

I can not say enough wonderful things about the Demorest family and their Diamond D Ranch. If you are open to an "off the grid" ranch vacation, you can't do better than the Diamond D. Cabins are western basic, well appointed, comfortable, and most importantly very clean. Linda, Tom, their family, and all staff are the most genuine, caring, and... More

Diamond D Ranch is located in the middle of the Frank Church - River of No Return Wilderness approximately 46 miles from Stanley, ID with approximately 30 miles of rugged, single lane, gravel road. This should give you an idea of how remote the ranch is. For those who love natural, rugged beauty, this place has it all. It's nestled... More
