I stayed here on whim because all of the other hotels in the Boise area were completely full and this was the only one with space... now I understand why it had space. To start with, I was placed in s smoking room. My neighbors were playing their TV very loudly all through the night and I couldn't get to...

Room was decently clean. TV was outdated and didn't get very many channels. Has a small fridge and microwave. For $66 after tax it should of been a little easier on the eyes...but all in all it was a good stay..

My mom and I needed a cheap place to stay as we were traveling cross-country...with a cat. Mountain Home, Idaho was right where we needed to stop to make it to our destination on time. Also a bonus, Hilander Motel was cheap, had great reviews, and were cat-friendly! Some of the reviews did mention an outdated motel. Most of the...

Location is a little bit off of the freeway, which is fine. We rolled in at about 1am to check in. The man working the front desk was VERY friendly. The room itself wasn't bad. It was clean although as others have said, the furniture is outdated. When we checked in, a train went by which was very loud, but...

Considering we planned to camp, the Hilander is a great deal for the price. The sheets and towels were a bit thin; the place is dated but it was clean and surprisingly quiet. Service to make reservations and check-in were great. The room had a small refrigerator and microwave oven. We'd stay again. Hampton Inns are nice but the rate...

Hilander is an older retro motel that is slightly behind the times in regards to amenties but way ahead of the curve in regards to service and location. The family run business makes every road weary traveler feel very welcomed and appreciated. This rare quality far outweighs the dated furniture in the very clean and comfortable rooms. The location is...

Have stayed here 6 times in the past 3 years while fishing in area. The rooms get worse every trip. Drapes were filthy, sink in room 230 had duct tape covering a hole, blinds were filthy and broken in bathroom. Carpets disgusting. Heater in room didn't work. Room smelled like cigarette smoke. Will not be back...

After a long day driving, the Hilander was chosen for its cheap price. Room was clean, mattress was firm in the last century. For the price, not bad. Of course I fretted about my car in the parking lot the entire evening. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

As previous reviews indicated this motel hasn't been updated since the 60's but in spite of the turquoise bathroom sink and coordinating flooring the place is clean and that is what really counts. After 10 days of travel my husband said this was the best bed thus far. No extras but coffee in the lobby and the manager/owner remembered my...
