Recently spent a few days at the Byron. Good, classic Venetian lido hotel. For some dated, but it really is a nice hotel and the staff were excellent. Good position between beach and vaparetto (for trips back into Venice itself). Some good bars and restaurants nearby. Much quieter at the Lido in the summer. One point, I do think that...

Very spacious clean room, nicely decorated, just a few minutes walk to the beaches. And even to the boats it's not far away. Main road with lots of restaurants is at the end of the street. The staff is extremely helpful and service oriented. Nothing is too much. Reception desk staff speaks fluent English and goes out of their way...

This was my fifth travel to Lido di Venezia and I always test a new hotel. The Lido itself is 15 to 20 minutes away by boat from the Venice city center. An easy and beautiful boat ride and I would always recommend to stay on the Lido as the evenings are lively and animated in summer as it has...

I'll start by saying it's not average and not exceptional hence the "very good" rating. You get what you pay for so don't expect a 5 star experience ( getting a little annoyed with other reviewers and their high expectations at a low cost!!) I paid for 4 nights inc breakfast for what a 2 night stay in London would...

I loved staying in this classy and elegant hotel right next door to the infamous Hotel Des Bains, now sadly closed. The staff are incredibly helpful, the room was lovely, the bed divine, air con fantastic. Breakfast was very traditional. Shortish walk from vaporetto and very short walk to public beach. Would love to return for a longer holiday. Luggage...

The Hotel Byron – named after the Romantic poet who rode his horses along the nearby beach – suited us well. Helpful front desk staff, a hearty European buffet breakfast, a large room with a big bed and a balcony… and two minutes’ walk from the beautifully sandy beach. The Lido is just a ten-minute vaporetto ride from Venice ‘proper’,...

A little old fashioned (there can be ghosts in your bathroom mirror) but good bed and large bedroom with a little balcony. Woke up early to see the sun rise over the sea 150metres down the road. Felt like being in "Death in Venice" but too early to spot any raggazzo!!!

The Hotel is very nice and clean. The hotel staff are soooo kind, i had a smile everyday there. The garden where we served the breakfast is absolutely so cute and romantic. Its a literally 2 minute walk from the beach and like 10 min walk from vaporetto station :) I strongly recommend, after all day walking through Venice-crowd this...

It was not what I expected, at first I thought: "Oh no, it's so old!". However, after 3 days, I loved it!. The staff, especially at reception, were friendly & helpful. Being a bed & breakfast, I can classify the breakfast as a "classic European breakfast", pastries & deli (cold meats), cereals, fruit, yogurt, warm freshly baked croissants & toast....

Reading the previous reviews I think somewhere in the middle is about right. The hotel is located near to the beach and only 15 minutes walk from the vaporetto stop. It is a typical hotel for the area of the Lido, slightly dated but still trying to please: which it does as long as you don't expect 5* from a...
