We booked this hotel as part of a trip through the Highlands and could not have been more satisfied. The narrow, single-track road to reach it can be tough going, but the delightful location and the generous hospitality of the new hosts, Fiona and Richard, make the trip worth it. The rooms are bright and recently refreshed. The dining room...

We stayed for two nights in May - New owners are welcoming and the food is excellent (including packed lunches ordered night before)- we were walking Quinag This is no flashy hotel but ticks all the boxes if you want food and shelter and fairly basic accommodation Little phone/reception or mod cons but if you in this part of Sutherland...

I visited the hotel on Monday for drinks then on Wednesday for food and drinks. I discovered that from my visits in previous years it now has new owners, Richard and Fiona. The drinks are very reasonably priced nd both Fiona and Richard made me very welcome, staying up late on Monday to chat to me, despite their early morning...

Arrived in Drumbeg late afternoon and decided to look for somewhere to eat later. We came across the Drumbeg Hotel. I went in and asked if they had a menu I could look at for an evening meal. I was handed a menu and was asked when I would be eating to which I replied it would be that evening....

Great stay in the highlands. The Drumbeg has been a fishing hotel for ages. The rooms are old, there's no Wi-Fi or cell service but that's not why you're there. The locals are in the bar at night and it's really friendly (See if you can beat Brian at pool or darts), Owners are really nice and the food is...

Plus as I was checking out the man said he'd rather I had not stayed, it's unfair to say that, I got a bit offended. Too quiet there, a 35 minute drive off the main road and if your car doesn't start in the morning you'll be screwed

The Hotel and the furniture were simple and clean. The team was very friendly. The breakfast was delicous. We had dinner one evening and this was very good, too. The doors were not soundproof but overall it was a quiet place. Books available.

Drumbeg is a remote wee community well served by this hospitality provider. We stayed in room 6, large spacious with a large bathroom and full length bath, no shower screens but a shower hose. Antique comfortable furniture. The proprietors have welcomed staff for over 10 years and offer home cooked food in a nice dining room. There are plenty of...

The location is the best part of staying. We stayed here a few years ago and nothing appears to have changed! Still all very friendly and extremely remotely wonderful. If your looking for luxurious accommodation this is not for you however as a base to explore this amazing art of the country - ideal, not cheap, but ideal!

Family owned (although now selling) friendly village pub/ hotel. Great bar, dining is in half hour slots so that food is fresh. Young couple got engaged when we were there, made for a most enjoyable evening. Rooms good but stairs a little tight if you are of advancing years.
