Amatra by Ganges is an excellent resort. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. The staff is courteous and respectful. The general manager Mr. Santosh Lalwani is very positive and aptly positioned. The resort has a very calm and serene feel. It was a rejuvenating stay for two days. They also have an aarti in the evening next to the banks of Ganges. Lots of activities for children and adults alike. The food is scrumptious, and the buffet has a variety of things to offer. The chef is excellent.

I went with my family , for a weekend . BEST EXPERIENCE . spacious rooms , beautiful garden , well maintained play area , and delicious food . All in all a very good place to relax . Evening stroll by the ganges , ganga aarti , swimming , archery , crocket games with high tea just adds to the evening ambience. Morning , yoga sessions (yoga instructor is very very good) , then breakfast , ATV ride , Swimming . lunch relax and again the evening strolls . a perfect staycation with ample kids friendly people staff and atmosphere .

This is a hidden jewel, definitely worth a trip here. As the name suggests it is on the edge of the Ganges river and they have an in house priest for any prayer you may want to do. The river is spotless and you can drink from it. Spacious rooms ,large grounds for the kids to run around. They have yoga in the morning , Hrithik is a highly qualified yoga instructor, for beginners to yogis. Each small villa complex has four rooms with balcony access. Great place to just relax.

Every stay has some pros and cons... So do the 'Amatra by the Ganges' is. I was there with my 3 year son and 4 months old daughter. It was her first trip, so comfort, hygiene and attitude of the staff was most important. Thankfully my husband chose Amatra, which again has some flaws but lots of good vibes. Sharing some properties and drawbacks:
•Special attention towards kids(providing khichari and milk at night from the side of resort) • tasty food with fast service. •found it neat and clean. • staff was courteous. • beautiful and big green area by the side of ganga. •cheerful and helpful staff (Wheather it is by the side of pool, front desk, room service staff or anyone else)
Drawbacks were •frequent powercut(although they have good and speedy backup plan) •location. • can develop and maintain their kidzone.

Extremely bad experience. Very rude Front office staff and Naturalist. Naturalist made all false commitments and was charging us 40% extra amount. Also after committing he did not provide the required gate we requested. Kitchen staff is good Overall the management is not accommodating. We went for a short vacation, wish we could extend our stay. Beautiful property with an outstanding staff. I believe it’s the people who makes a difference. The staff right from the front office, restaurant, room service & housekeeping, they all were professional, humble & courteous. Special thanks to Mr. Manoj Malik the restaurant manager, for all the help and care. He is an asset to this property. Also the housekeeping supervisor Mustaffa Alam, the front office people Cheetal & Tushar, the restaurant staff Kanishka & Preeti, they all were very helpful, friendly, courteous and professional. We went with our kids, and these are the people who took good care of them and made our stay memorable. The rooms were spacious with all the amenities, food was delicious and the property overall is beautiful. We would love to visit again soon. Thankyou for taking good care of, specially our children.

We drove down from Badrinath to Hardwar and reached Amatra hotel at 3am, Pankaj on night duty really took care of us and ensured we had water and a cool room.
In the morning Gopal Singh made fresh dosas for us which were absolutely amazing.
The staff here are all extremely helpful and courteous, and the ambiance is just amazing.
The hotel has a lovely pool and even offer archery - it is far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city centre allowing you to relax but only a 10 min drive away to the main Har Ki Pauri.
This hotel is really calm and serene a great place to chill out and relax.

This is one of the best property in Haridwar. The view of Ganga from here is awesome. It has a big lawn with lots of activities to do. The staff here was too welcoming and warm. Right from the welcome desk to the restaurant staff - including all housing keeping staff are very warm and courteous. We visited this property on 14th feb 2021, on occasion of our marriage anniversary, The location of property is absolutely fantastic with private access to Ganga river and excellent view from balcony. Service by staff is top notch and they make sure to go beyond the mile to serve you. We initially planned a stay for two days, but our daughter liked the facilities so much that we extended by another day. Will surely come again.

the hotel in far away from Shantikunj, this is located near Laxman Jhula. The road to reach hotel from main road id tiny. so big cars can reach but little difficult.
There are more places to choose from in the Kangri area.
