I really hate to write a negative review, but this time my hands were forced . So point by point Accessibility - excellent . One and half hours from Dehradun airport , the road is being constructed at places , but Over all it’s ok . Location - you can’t ask for a better one . Bang on the Ganges , awesome surroundings , peace , calm and tranquility . Property - lush green, well maintained so far . Offers excellent views , plenty of space to walk and plenty of activities to choose from . Jungle Safari is well managed . Food - is average . Breakfast spread is miser , dinner you will be better off ala carte. The bar is closed for lack of staff so you either carry your own and carry your own ice from the kitchen too .. why... I will come to that. Service - simply does not exist .…

After a long horrid drive from Delhi to Haridwar with a lot of enroute construction and huge traffic, we finally reached Amatra! A place away from the city and the traffic, tucked in next to the Ganges. We were very warmly welcomed by Neha Rawat, who was attending the front desk. Considering our long unexpected journey, Neha extended all her good options to make us feel relaxed upon arrival at Amatra. Good rooms were given, the staff quickly settled us in the rooms. Amatra is right next to the Ganga and has a neat and clean rocky beach. There are quite a few activity options for kids and adults. We were all taken care of. We had planned a family vacation at Amatra wherein we enjoyed a lot. The place was extremely beautiful, rooms were really clean, food was relishing. Our kids also had a great time. The front desk manager Neha was really helpful and made the checkin and checkout process really smooth and super fast. We planned here our own destination wedding and I must say that the place is amazing. The sunset view, the service, the rooms and everything is superb. Special thanks to their Mr. Nitin who had been very cooperative with all of us. The food here is very tasty. All our guests were so happy with the resort service and the location. If you are planning a destination wedding somewhere in Uttarakhand, you must consider this place for once and once you visit this place I am sure you will not even look for any other place.
