My boyfriend and I were passing through Valdosta on our way to Tallahassee. We needed a place to stay for one night. We booked the hotel at the last minute through the Marriott website. The hotel staff was friendly and greeted us as soon as we entered. They took all of the Covid precautions regarding wearing masks and social distancing. The elevator was smelly (perhaps the carpet was damp or maybe there were dogs in the hotel). The room looked clean and smelled fresh for the most past with the exception of the bathroom which smelled a bit moldy. We requested new towels and for the bathroom to be cleaned. The maid service wasn't available so I ended up cleaning the bathroom myself with the supplies I brought for emergency purposes. The bed was soft and comfortable and we had a pleasant stay. On our way out the next morning, they were very friendly. We would recommend the hotel with slight reservations because of the smell in the bathroom and elevator, but the service was quite satisfactory and we are likely to stay there again.

Very good location with restaurants nearby. Very nice lobby but no coffee or tea available. Rooms are in need of updating. Shower head was coming out of wall. Pillows were hard and there was no variety. Had to call the front desk twice before someone brought us shampoo since the room had nothing but soap and conditioner. Missed breakfast because of the long wait for shampoo. Because of Covid we asked for a room that had not been used the night before but were told that was not possible because they had been 95% full the night before! And there were guests who came in without masks or did not have them on as they walked around the lobby.

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We appreciate you choosing to stay with us while you are in town. I do want to let you know that breakfast and coffee is not included at the hotel. The breakfast and coffee is for purchase. Also, during these unclear times it has been difficult to keep toiletry items in stock. There has been many shipping delays. We will definitely take your comments into consideration. Thank you again and have a wonderful day.

The room itself was fine - good, clean beds and quiet. The hotel overall needs updating. Rugs dirty in elevator, mold on the wallpapered walls in hallway, garbage needed to be emptied outside, etc. Recognize there are Covid issues today for hotels which makes it difficult, but for a Courtyard, not up to snuff. Stayed there for points only. Also did not realize that it was a paid breakfast only.

Older hotel, but updated. First room we stayed in had some mold issues in the bathroom and was facing the parking lot. We were promptly moved to another room. The older AC unit in the new room was weak. So the assistant manager, Michael, changed it out himself - on a Sunday! Michael is very proactive, polite and helpful. He wears a lot of hats and sure is busy, but always takes the time to talk to his guests and tries to accommodate everybody's needs and wants. I do feel that the hotel is understaffed, but maybe that's because of the Covid situation. All of the daystaff personnel was very friendly and made our stay pleasant. The pool area is tucked away in the back. It's very peaceful with a resort style ambience and has nice landscaping. The pool deck could use some TLC. During our stay the chairs were never rearranged at night and various pool toys had never been cleaned up. Another perk is that some rooms have balconies. Something, we don't see often and enjoyed a lot. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again.

Staff was excellent! Lobby and common areas good..I stayed in a 2 room suite. Serious mold issues! Not up to Marriott standards. All rooms should be cleaned and tested, especially since this was during the Covid19 era. AC filter not cleaned. Tub caulk moldy. Room smelled and gave me a headache sleeping. Also, window broken and would not close properly.
