As a loyal Marriott customer I was terribly disappointed in the Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Northlake. When I pulled up I noticed there was construction and remodeling taking place, that's great. I checked in, the young lady at the desk was nice, provided me with a bottle of water and efficient service. I got to my room and did the "room sweep" so to speak. The room was rundown but no big deal. When I checked the patio door, I noticed it did not lock and the toilet didn't flush. I asked for a new room and was given one. That one wreaked of stale cigarette smoke, the refrigerator had seen better days, and the heater was loud. Looking around the hotel, the hallways are battered, there was a door missing it's door handle/lock like someone broke in and the overall appearance was

Not up to Marriott standard. Tired and dirty. Needs a total renovation. When I checked in, I was informed that I was going to be charged and additional $30 fee for incidentals. I asked, "what incidentals?" And told the man that I had been staying in Marriott hotels for the past 10 days and had never been charged for incidentals. He told me that I "might" get my $30 back in a few days. I told him I was going to call Marriott Corporate. The charge did not show up on my bill. But the heater was so loud that we had to turn it off to sleep. The refrigerator was nasty with no freezer section. The "suite" was really just 2 tired rooms slapped together. Bathroom floor was dirty. Furniture was slapped together and was totally worn out. Yuck.

Hotel is under renovation and it needs it. While our room may have been refreshed, messy calking around the toilet and sink and bubbles in the wallpaper are reflective of the quality of the work. More importantly the basics have been ignored. The toilet leaked and caused a constant puddle around the base. The bedroom fan sounded like a plane taking off . A non responsive hvac unit made it impossible to control the room temperature. We have stayed at multiple Marriott properties in numerous cities and this has been our most disappointing experience. Not up to what we have come to expect from a Marriott .

This is NOT a Courtyard nor Marriott tier establishment. As a Bonvoy (Titanium) this is definitely not the face of what I have become accustomed to. The only saving grace was the professional gentleman that checked me in. I want to thank him for assisting me in getting my gear up the stairs to my room, which was touted as the best and biggest suite they had. NOTE: the website should let guests know that there is NO elevator at this establishment. Pack light or request to stay on the ground level. Good: Check-in Personnel was professional and helpful. Close to eateries. Near the highway. Bad: Room was humid and had a dank smell. Attempted to air it out, but both patio doors were taped shut. Stains on the sofa, chair, patio curtain, walls, and lamp shade in bed room.

I'm very disappointed. Our room was humid, they had no soap on the sink, just a couple shampoo thrown in the shower. Stains on the couch, t.v was giving trouble to work no hot water. I've stayed at Marriott before and this ain't it.

Room smelled badly; No hot water; Maintenance guy said this has been happening on and off for months: AC wouldn't get colder than 71; We let front desk know - they said we'll be happy to move you to another room. We left for our meeting. Came back at 10 pm. Our belongings were not in new room. Went back to front desk. Items still in old room. Too tired now to move to new room. Stayed in old room. No hot water. Not hot water in morning either. Hassle, after hassle. Hotel phone didn't work either. Called front desk from cell. No Manager in for an hour or so. Front Desk didn't even take my name or room number. I have to assume this happens quite often. This hotel has real issues Owners/ Leadership. Room was clean, however the bed was torture, had to get up hours early both nights because of back pain. No toiletries, one tiny bar of soap for my wife and I. By second day waste basket overflowing, no sign of housekeeping anywhere. Two stories, no elevator.

The front desk at this property is really bad. While the property is generally ok, the service during check-in, check-out and follow-up needs a lot to improve on. Here is the context. I had a confirmed reservation for this property done in September for a reservation in December. When I reach the hotel around 8 pm for check-in, the front desk staff made me wait for 45 minutes because the rooms where not clean even though he said in the system they were showing as cleaned. After 45 mins, I was assigned a wrong room i.e. 1 queen size bed room even though I had booked room with 2 queen beds. TL:DR...very poorly trained staff, and housekeeping doesn't change linens on the bed for the next guest if it looks made. After 3 years of staying at this hotel for regular business trips, the new franchise is a disaster. I booked two days earlier this month, paid in advance, was assigned a room, didn't make it there the first night but called to say I'd be in the next morning, got there, checked in, went to my room it was dirty, went to car, called, asked them to clean it, waited an hour no call back, called again, was told "I have 3 housekeepers and 29 rooms to clean you'll just have to wait", replied I'm a bonvoy frequent traveller please prioritize me, waited fifteen minutes, called back, was told its clean, went up, still dirty with coins on the floor and cups on the

Check in took over 10 minutes of waiting on the only receptionist available. Upon arriving the lobby looked great and the outside building looked clean, the inside hallway had a weird old smell along with the inside of the hotel, it smelled like cigarette smoke even though it’s a smoke free hotel. The beds appeared to be clean and they where pretty comfortable, which is the only positive. The bathroom had old soap bar and used shampoo and conditioner from the precious people, the refrigerator smelled gross, carpet very dirty, walls dirty, the towels where old and stained, the curtains where also dirty with stains and there where flies everywhere, probably 10 plus. This Marriott Hotel is the worst I ever stayed at! This is definitely not worth $150 a night more like $80 a night.
