My husband and I have been coming to Mount Pleasant every year for the last 10 years as we are guaranteed peacefulness and comfort; in 2016 we came 3 times! We love the place. We have just had another 3-night New Years's Eve break staying in The Dairy cottage, our favourite, but all are super. My husband is a phenomenal...

Thanks again, Alison and Dirk, for another amazing week at Mount Pleasant. Time has flown and we cannot believe we have been coming to stay, with these genuinely lovely people, every year for the last 21 years, and in all that time we have tried it all; B&B, self-catering and, for the last few years, a week of heaven at...

We have just returned from three nights stay at Mount Pleasant Farm. We stayed in a beautiful en suite double room in the farmhouse, overlooking the garden. Alison was so welcoming and the staff both helpful and friendly. The surroundings and scenery from the farm are outstanding and so peaceful. In addition to the farmhouse rooms, there are self catering...

We were so pleased to find Mount Pleasant Farm after a nice day exploring the town of Richmond and the Yorkshire Dales. Our hostess was a delight. Our group of five ladies from the US enjoyed our stay in the old (1850) farmhouse though cottage type accommodations are available as well. The rooms were spacious and comfortable in every way....

Our hostess Alison, very welcoming- made to deal very much at home - everything was so lovely from the surroundings to the room and the breakfast. Extremely peaceful location. Richmond is an interesting town to visit with a castle a lovely river, walks and little individual shops to leisure and cafes to while away an hour or two.
