I have traveled to a lot of resorts. I like to try new things, but something always brings me back to Sea Island. If you are doing research on where to stay next, and asking yourself if you should spend the money, please let me reaffirm Sea Island as a must! It is worth every penny. Everyone is gracious, they call you by name, and there is no shortage of amazing dining & activities. We had our honeymoon here, with a day at the Spa and it all exceeded expectations. We did a night in Kiawah before coming down to Sea Island, and that was a big mistake. Nobody touches the level of service you receive at Sea Island.

I can't think of a better place to relax, unwind and enjoy an inspiring conference than Sea Island. The setting is beautiful, the meals excellent and the accommodations are opulent! My wife and i enjoyed the conference and took part in several of the activities offered at the resort. Take a bike ride if you have time to experience more of the island. We will definitely be coming back!

The entire Sea Island complex is 30 years past it's prime. Everything is very old and dated. The prices are 300 to 400% of what a comparable resort would charge. The restaurants food is a B-C at best, and the service varies from poor to good, with nothing excellent. The bell staff is excellent, but the front desk, internal dinner and amenities telephone reservationists and restaurant hostesses barely speak understandable English. I'm told their Spanish is worse. The Trap and Skeet staff is world class, but much of the equipment is non-operational. The "famous" strolling bagpipe player spent 15% of the time playing and 85% of the time talking, generally about himself and how we could hire him for special events. We were "lulled to sleep" each night by the sound of an…

The Cloister at Sea Island is a Hidden treasure. The Cloister is a true 5 Star resort in every sense. The Staff was extremely attentive, the rooms are awesome, the food was great, the beach was clean and relaxing. Every inch of the property is impeccably maintained. They also provide a complimentary BMW that you can use for up to 2 hours. We will definitely return.

So much to do for a partner accompanying a spouse on a business trip! So many lovely nooks and crannies to explore! Gardens and patios and a conservatory with some rather voluble birds, an English manor-house style library, shelved generously by genre; an extravagant stand-alone spa, beach club, access to an ocean beach one one side; and river sports on the other, multiple restaurants, clothes/tchotchke shopping, all on site. And all low key and with an old money vibe (quite clearly necessary to stay here; and eerily absent from guest demographics, which during my stay appeared to have a certain homogenity). IYKYK. I do, however wish there were more affordable dining options and lunch options. As an example: my "fried chicken" dinner at 1 onsite restaurant was $30 for 1 breaded…

What a great visit we had at the resort. From the time we entered the gate until our departure 4 days later our experience was nothing short of spectacular. The staff is amazing. The amenities are incredible. And worth every single dollar someone would spend to stay here. Will definitely be back and tell lots of friends about it.
