I love nature. I love being in nature and learning about nature. The Lodge provides an excellent learning experience in a lovely setting. The naturalists were incredible - knowledgeable but able to talk to "real" people - no jargon, but lots of passion. The Lodge offers a wide range of experiences from wildlife viewing (rattlesnakes, mink, dolphin, alligators, and birds...

We had looked forward to our day trip to Little St Simons as a wildlife and birding opportunity. The most enjoyable part of the trip was the boat ride over and back. I haven't ridden in the back of a pick-up truck since I was nine years old and was surprised to find myself on a bench seat for the...

I'm terribly sorry to hear that you were disappointed in the day trip and appreciate you bringing it to our attention. During the introduction to the tour, the Naturalist gives the guests the opportunity to use the restroom and pick up a reusable water bottle to use on the tour. It sounds like that may not have been communicated well....

With three days, two nights, I was able to kayak 3 times, go on two naturalist led expeditions, walk the beach and look for sea shells 3 times. The naturalist/guides are open to suggestions for activities that interest each individual. The food was amazing, featuring fresh produce from their organic garden. The chocolate chip cookies were addictive! The rooms are...

My extended family and I (my parents; sister and spouse with 11 month old twins; and my spouse and 3 kids, ages 3, 6, and 8) spent a week here in early June. I can't say enough about this beautiful place. It immediately felt like we were being transported to a fantastic hideaway when we arrived at the dock by...

I've heard about little St Simmons from a magazine back in the 90's. I booked it and went there by myself, I had a wonderful time, and so much food and so many things to do Ioved it so much that when I got married I went back with my husband. It was not the same place, the people were...

We appreciate all constructive feedback from past guests. Unfortunately, we do not have any record of these instances. Our management team is readily available and in constant contact with our guests daily to help insure we are meeting their expectations. Also, we send all guests a survey immediately following their stay to solicit their feedback. Therefore, it is very surprising...

My husband and I stayed here last week. What a great experience - wonderful people - staff and fellow visitors - wonderful food - fresh and local from the lodge's garden. Accommodations are lovely - not fancy but definitely a lodge feeling. The education and trips around the island were led by caring and knowledgable staff. It is a good...

When my husband and I were waiting for the ferry to take us to the island, the guests at the end of their stay all looked blissed out. I can now see why. Here are some of the highlights: 1. We had a blast. Birding, boat rides, biking, the beach, fishing...we couldn't even find time to do everything. 2. The...

Thank you so much for staying with us. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the Naturalist guided activities, our staff and the meals. The reason to stay at LSSI is for its pristine rugged beauty, privacy, and knowledgeable naturalists. The food, libations and accommodations are adequate, but, nothing special. The main building is fabulously rustic. The staff is super gracious and accommodating. True, the wine and beer are included in the cost, but, trust me, bring your own. My 10 year olds tell...
