I recently attended a weekend class in Perry, and instead of driving back and forth, decided to stay at the New Perry Hotel. The rates are reasonable, and definitely competitive with other local hotels. The experience is absolutely unlike any other hotel I've ever been in. The staff, comprised mostly of the owner's family, are extremely friendly and welcoming. They...

My boyfriend and I decided to try something different, so he found this place. At first glance I was not impressed, however once we checked into our room which was themed the "James Dean" room my perspective changed. The restaurant food was home cooked and the owners were very friendly.... We will definitely visit again.. However one MUST be willing...

As the reviewer of the report immediately before this one says, you have to know and enjoy old, historic places to fully appreciate a stay at the New Perry. The Johnson family is working very hard to redo an old and neglected property and they are making good strides in that direction. Every staff member was pleasant, helpful, and loved...

One has to want to experience a different era to appreciate a stay at the New Perry Hotel. It IS a historic building, and I think the owners and staff are working hard to keep the old but have some modern conveniences. It is NOT the Biltmore. We stayed in the historic section, second floor. We requested a room with...

I had stayed at the New Perry Hotel years ago and it was awful. The new owner contacted me and asked to give them a try again. I am SO glad I did. It was wonderful! I arrived, hoping I was NOT going to be treated badly again..and I left as ...part of the New Perry Hotel family. Every one...

My friend and I pulled off Hwy 75 on the way south looking for a place to spend the night. We wanted something more interesting than a generic highway motel so drove the mile or so into Perry. We found this inn and were very glad. The owners offered to show us the rooms before checking in. The larger rooms...

We stopped in Perry, Ga. last week unexpectedly. Driving around looking for a hotel we saw the New Perry Hotel and decided to check it out. The owners were very friendly, the rooms were large and clean. Each room had a different theme. Mine was John Wayne. The food is all home style southern cooking and it was delicious. There...

The New Perry Hotel Restaurant in Perry Georgia is a superior restaurant. Very friendly staff and an excellent setting in a renovated old hotel. It is a charming setting. The food was superb and fairly priced. Highly recommended for lunch or dinner, we tried both.

The owners and staff were extremely courteous, professional and welcoming. This is a historic hotel built in 1924 so do not expect the rooms to be in the class of a Marriott suite. However, they are comfortable and are equipped with refrigerator, microwave and TV. I thought the Southern cooking in the restaurant was outstanding and very reasonably priced. I...

We stopped at restaurant on Sunday for lunch. was very impressed with decor. Our waitress,Vickie, was very friendly & helpful. They brought a cup of homeade celery soup that was very good. I ordered chicken & dumplings & shredded yam, which is one of their signature dishes. The celery soup & the yams were definitely their own recipe, the best...
