The place is big and kinda has a Zen feel about it. Very private and woodsy with deer roaming the property. Saw more staff than guests. Didn’t have a chance to explore everything, but there are open areas indoors with pool tables and other games throughout the hotel. The rooms are very modern and updated. Small but lovely. Housekeeping needs some improvement as there were permanent stains on the bed covers and hairballs next to the head board. More than enough outlets to recharge all devices and WiFi was good. No microwave in room because why in COVID times would we have the option for people to isolate to their own rooms to prepare a quick meal or reheat food as an option? A few deficiencies in the room such as the safe didn’t work and the fridge kept freezing drinks and had no way to adjust the temp. Minor complaints overall and not a big deal. Didn’t try the restaurant so can’t comment on that. They had e-chargers for electric vehicles which was cool. I tried to go for a swim in the afternoon but the pool was a locked in greenhouse and musta been 130 degrees. The pool itself was covered in suds, which I’ve never seen so likely some chemical error. Overall, I would stay here again at the bargain price I received on Priceline. Even with that, the taxes and fees charged by the state of Georgia are kin to a shakedown for us independent non-business travelers and motivate me to avoid the state as a destination even though I was born and raised there. If you rent a golf cart, the hotel is centrally located and has easy access to the 90+ miles of golf cart paths.…
The hotel is set in a very wooded area and is made up of multiple buildings. The lobby and one of the hotel buildings sits next to a lake with a fountain. Masks were required in all public areas of the hotel according to signage on every building. Room was updated, clean, and comfortable. Lots of outlets for chargers. Bathroom was spacious but the barn door, while a cute detail, did nothing to provide privacy. Halls were generally quiet. Common areas had pool tables, foosball and scrabble, but I didn't see any cues, balls, or ways to utilize these amenities. I assume due to COVID? Upon check-in, we were notified that the indoor pool was by reservation only, and that it was booked until 9pm. We booked 9pm-11pm. When we arrived, there were at least 20 people in the pool area (over the reservation limit, which I think was 10). The pool water was filthy. We didn't stay long. At check-in we were told the bar closed at 9pm. When we went to the front desk at 9pm to get pool towels, I heard talking at the bar and inquired. The woman (different employee) said the bar was open until 10. After giving up on the pool, we went to the bar, had a few drinks, and stayed well past 11pm. Several TVs at the bar to watch sports (except they didn't have any way to watch Braves game?!). Breakfast was 18.95 per person! But it was quite a spread - custom omelets and waffles, biscuits, gravy, eggs, grits, sausage, etc etc. Tons of options. I think that they should offer some other options because that is pretty pricey for breakfast. They ended up only charging my daughter half price (kid price) since she ate very little. Service at the restaurant and bar was very prompt, friendly, and helpful. There were lots of nice paths to walk around, and tables to sit outside by the lake. Outside of the pool area there was a small area for sunning. Overall it was a very nice setting. Location was close to plenty of shopping and restaurants.…
Spent a night here in March 2021. Got a great rate through Hotwire. The rooms are clean and nice, good beds, quiet location. Husband used the gym and was happy for a workout on our travels. Close to restaurants, right in the heart of Peachtree, though it feels like you are in the woods. Rooms are on the compact side, but very clean and modern finishes. Recommended
My wife and I are celebrating 27 years of marriage. During this covid-19 crisis we were unsure whether we should try to go or not but decided to anyway. We chose this property due to this experiences we have had here before. But this time they out did themselves in service, hospitality, cleanliness, and quality. Because of Covid the onsite amenities were limited. The Ambassador and staff found ways to make our stay and anniversary one of the most memorable. Room service at this time was not available yet they found a way to find out what we wanted and outsourced delivery anyway. The bar was also limited and Ambassador and staff found a way to get us champagne. This extra thoughtful and heartfelt effort meant the most to us and over shadowed any idiosyncrasies that this property incurred because of Covid. I truly commend and thank the Ambassador and staff members involved for all they did for us during our stay. This is a testimony of kindness and true customer service. IHG should be proud to have these team members onboard and representing the company. Thank you all for making our stay awesome under these difficult circumstances.…
Old, smelly, musty in every building, not clean found traces of bugs. Never again and they will lose our company’s contract of staying. Very upset and frustrated and will he checking out after one day. I would leave immediately but arrive late 11pm... almost debated sleeping in my car.
