The Lake Rabun Hotel was completely renovated about 8 years ago, but the structure is still built on a foundation of almost 100 years old. As such, it is a very cute inn and has a beautiful setting across the street from Lake Rabun, but the rooms are very small and can seem cramped for the average size person. The...

Excellent service, delicious breakfasts. Nice accommodations with very comfortable bedding. Slightly smaller rooms but so cute. Coffee and fresh cookies daily. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Lake Rabun is a beautiful lake with so much to do.

very quaint B&B. There are 8 rooms and lots of common areas to gather. The breakfast include was excellent. Breakfast included was fruit, quiche, potatoes, cinnamon rolls, bacon, juice and coffee. There are a couple of gardens to enjoy. We ate dinner here last night. Food was good, service was great. All the staff is beyond happy and helpful. The...

We visited for one night in July. Josh the hotel manage gave us a very warm welcome and showed us around the 1922 property, which was just simply enchanting. A lot of the external parts of the building was log structure which gave it a very quaint and picturesque feel. The room was very comfortable, not massive but cosy and...

The coziness and old world charm is one of the best reasons to stay at the Lake Rabun Hotel. If you are trying to disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with your significant other. You two were absolutely delightful and we hope to be your first stop stateside!

We rented the cabin and had our own living room/dining room area. The bed was comfortable. It was a great cabin and we spent a lot of time on the front porch. The chocolate chip cookies that were waiting for us when we arrived each day were absolutely delicious. We really enjoyed our dinners at the restaurant as well. Thank...

This is a good place to stop for the night when staying to see Tallulah Falls. The restaurant is really top notch, both dinner and breakfast were great. The room (Minehaha) was ok - it could use a bit of modernizing such as a better bed and perhaps some more personal touches. For a bed and breakfast, the personnel were...

Thank you so much for taking the top to review the Lake Rabun Hotel. We take guest feedback to heart and work tirelessly to make everyone's stay here a pleasant one. We do not provide robes for all guest rooms. These are for our Lake View rooms only. I do apologize profusely for no lotion in the room upon arrival....

We went for a much needed break over the 4th of July weekend. Came across this place online by accident, we had never heard of it and decided to try it. Really glad we did! Not sure why it is called a Hotel, it is more like a Bread & Breakfast Inn. If you like rustic, quaint, full of charm...

Thank you so much! The staff works tirelessly to ensure guest satisfaction. The hotel certainly does have a B&B feel to it, but the name was always Lake Rabun Hotel so as part of tradition, we have kept the name as such. Thank you again for taking the time to post your review, and we look forward to your return!

It isn't often that I think a reservation is worth it but in this case I am all for it. We got very lucky and got a table because we were early. The appetizer was smoked fish with risotto and the pecan encrusted trout was the entree. Both were perfect. The service starting with the host epitomized the elusive famed...

The property is beautiful and the dinner is always delicious. 2 of us had a salmon dinner and 1 of us had a Filet Mignon meal. All plates were delicious and savored. Our service was good and thankfully it was not overly crowded for 4th of July weekend.

We went as a neighborhood dinner group. Everything was great. Food and service was excellent. No one in the group had anything to say but lets go back. So we are planning another dinner at the restaurant. We did not stay over night.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Lake Rabun Hotel & Restaurant celebrated its 90th birthday in 2012. It's the last surviving mountain lodge on a lake in Georgia. Because it has stayed true to the look and the feeling of another, perhaps more peaceful, time, it's been called both a regional and a national treasure. For decades generations have enjoyed the beauty of the lake and mountains. Carefully restored by preservationists in 2008 to maintain its ancestral charm, it features gardens of native plants, rock pillars and walkways, locust log decks, and balconies with views of Lake Rabun and the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains. Lake Rabun is one of the most beautiful lakes in the mountains of North Georgia. ... more   less
