Spend some time with Miss Jane, your Southern Belle host. You will love your stay here as we did.not too many dinner options in town though. Try the local Chinese place for a good honest meal. You are on the doorstep of Okefenokee Swamp so don't miss this.

When it became apparent the storm was not going to turn before arriving on the Georgia Coast - and with our two vehicles packed to the brim with every irreplaceable thing we could squeeze in - we were looking for a place to which we could evacuate. I spent hours the night before the storm was to arrive searching -...

This was the very first time Jack and I have been to a bed and breakfast.....Ms Jane met us at the door with such a warm, friendly welcome, we felt right at home....it was like arriving at your favorite Aunts house! Jerome fixed a homestyle breakfast that was absolutely delicious! We were visiting relatives in the area, and Ms Jane...

I have had countless co-workers and family members stay with Mrs. Jane at the Helmstead. You can count on it to be immaculate. Mrs. Jane is truly part of the experience and Jerome can make a mean southern breakfast! Worth every penny and more!!!!

Wonderful visit to The Helmstead. Miss Jane is the epitome of the Southern hostess. Rooms were clean, comfortable. Enjoyed a delicious breakfast thanks to Jerome. Unfortunately, did not have time to enjoy the lovely pool and spa. Hope to visit again.

The rooms are clean and comfortable and good sized. (We stayed in the Queens Room.) Each room has its own bath. The home is well back from a road that's not busy at night, so any room will likely be quiet. The home is well air-conditioned. Breakfast, cooked by Jerome, was wonderful. Miss Jane is a warm and welcoming proprietor....

My partner and I stayed with Jane and her staff this past weekend. We were in town for my son's wedding. We are so glad we did!!!! It was an absolute pleasure to meet Jane and stay in her beautiful home. She was a joy and treated us like family. We left with gifts of books, honey and Vidalia onions....

The pleasant, little town of Homerville isn’t on the most beaten of paths. But if heading that way, a great place to stay is the Helmstead B&B. Jane Helms is the lovely proprietress. She makes sure that the rooms are well appointed with lots of little features for a comfortable stay. The home is just a little out of town...

Awesome place to stay while riding through Georgia! Ms. Jane took us in and made us feel welcome! The rooms, breakfast and beds were fantastic! Breakfast in the morning made by Chef Jarome was off the charts... We (my brothers and I) were traveling up to see a friend play in Homerville and couldn't have stumbled on a better place...

If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place. Despite having to be there for work it is still worth it. Even though a little town still has great places to eat after having breakfast at The Helmstead.
