Me and my friend stayed at this hostel for 4 nights. It's very clean and well organized. It's close to many stores and 5-10 minutes walk to the beach. Nice views from the balcony. The only down part is that we were on the 5th floor and there is no elevator so it was heavy to carry our bags up....

The staff at the reception are really unfriendly. Its looks like we were disturbing them when we asked for information. Maybe its because this is the most popular hostel in san andress so they dont care. Wifi sucks!! Dont go there and dont go to san andress at allll. Opsss

Sorry about that Marieah, its unexcusable that our staff mistreats our guests. Please send us a private message with more details. The Wifi is slow in ALL the island....keep in mind that we are in an Island 1.000 km away from the main land......where people come to enjoy the beach and the 7 coloured sea. Safe travels.

A nice hostel. Good location and the beach is a 5-10 minute walk. There is a supermarket close by and plenty of restaurants and shops. The air con is good and the beds are comfortable. There is a rooftop bar which is good to have a few chill out drinks. The wifi lets the place down as it is garbage...

Thank you for your review Dave, yes the Wifi is very slow in ALL the Island, exactly because we are in an Island 1.000 km away from the main land. There are no other Internet Providers in the island, so that is all we can get. But 99% of our guests come to enjoy the beach, sun, diving, and water...

The staff service was dismal and disappointing. Although they assisted me with printing my boarding pass, other than that, they generally seemed unorganised and disinterested in providing exceptional service in their jobs. Their knowledge of tours and recommendations were ordinary, nothing I couldn't read online or in a brochure. There were many groups, although social, many cultural types kept to...

The location is alright, and breakfast was good, but that was it. Staff is clueless (not only they dont help, they make your life harder), bathrooms were dirty and Wi-Fi barely works. There are better places in San Andrés, for sure

Unfriendly personnel, the dorm on booking.com didnt look at all like the room in real life. Overpriced, especially When you compare it to the beautiful viajero hostels in salento and cali. We totally missed the backpacker vibe here.

The hostel need to get the rooms better in terms of structure, the bed it was too old and the wifi just worked on the reception. The rest of the hostel it was okay but even the commons areas it wasn´t to comfortable.

Having stayed at the Cartagena branch the week before this is definitely the more tired of El Viajero's hostels, but definitely worth a stay if in San Andres. It's in a good central location, has a tour company on site - although be prepared for island timings on any requests (!). The wifi isn't brilliant, sometimes the connection was fine...

We spent 5 days at El Viajero hostel on San Andres and at first sight it looked nice. Its big, Nice and clean rooms and good location. But then we met the staff behind in the reception and it was awful. They dont care for their jobs one bit. They are unfocused and unqualified. They are slow and speak spanish...

Certainly I can say El Viajero is the worst hostel I have been stayed. I booked a private room months before the date, I confirmed my reservation by email and also by telephone (4 days before arrival date) and then, when I arrived to the hostel, they just informed me the entire hostel was full and I would be moved...
