The Cranford Villa is a pretty, antique bungalow serving the peace of mind. The location is not far beyond the reach of essential services but it offers you the feel of 'being away from city rush'. The naturally green environment will please you to stay there for some more days. (In fact, I got a thought one step above, 'What...

I loved it here! Very peaceful, accommodations and property absolutely lovely. Staff extremely courteous and accommodating. Food excellent. There are some great day trips around the area, and since you are heading up to the highlands, the air is nice and cool. The Diyathalawa falls are pretty. The drive here goes by some tanks which have beautiful birdlife.

We stayed here for one night, having driven from Negombo and the next day driving to Worlds End so an early start. Unfortunately this meant we arrived late (7pm) when it was already dark and left at 5am before it got light! We really should've booked a bigger hotel instead but had seen this one looked interesting so booked it....

I had the time to visit Hotel Cranford Villa at Diyathalawa with my wife on 20th October 2014 to spend there for two days and i was thoroughly impressed by the excellent treatment and the facilities provided to us. There food was really delicious and above all we noticed taking lot of pain in maintaining villa garden in an ideal...

Situated on a charming hillock with a surprisingly narrow entry point in to a wide, nice & shady drive way, Cranford villa is a really extremely relaxing place after a long long travel from which ever part of the country. As you drive or walk up the short entry way, you would feel the fresh & delicious, humid fresh air,...

Diyatalawa is a hill station with a salubrious environment and Cranford villa is a colonial bungalow that fits right into the ambiance of the area. The five bedrooms are well appointed and well maintained. Clean, freshly laundered linen that is refreshed daily, monogrammed plates and polished cutlery add a nice touch to this homely place. There are several pieces of...

Fantastic colonial home. One of our group became seriously ill prior to arrival and the hotel staff did everything possible to help us including arranging early arrival, doctor to visit twice as well as pathology testing. The food is home made from veg in the house garden. The staff are kind and charming. The chef is a delight and the...

The Climate at Diyathalawa was great, an ideal location to beat the dreadful Colombo Heat during the month of April. We had gone as a family of 16 adults and two children, but in reality the Bungalow is geared up to accommodate only 14 adults. Meals are prepared according to the guests request, but I don't think the staff were...

The bungalow is decent but has an odd and irritating smell in most parts of it. food was not to our liking having said that the staff especially mr naniyakkara always aimed to provide the best. lakmal was a stand out in service as well. overall we had a decent stay during the 3 days but areas of improvement in...

we stayed for a day here in mid December 2013. Weather was rainy during our stay in this area. Road to the place starts narrow & poor at the beginning from main road & becomes little ok when closer to property. Room was ok for the price but still without power supply for the TV in the room. (We did...
