Your site should stipulate that peaches are only available in season (July or whenever it is) California peaches were available in the grocery stores at the time. Rather than make bad feelings (as others staying at the hotel at the time made similar comments), I wouldn't mention it. If you have peaches, then it's a bonus.
We did enjoy our stay even without our peach.
