Wonderful! Zach is doing a great job and the home and setting could not be more perfect. The town centre is delightful and our evening walk to dinner was fun. We couldn't find the Geocache though. Having coffee on the veranda this morning was my idea of bird song heaven.

Thank you so much for your excellent review! As a former B&B owner yourself, we appreciate that you feel we are doing a great job. We were also happy to serve you "real" food after your trip to Florida. You have a lovely family, and we truly hope that if you are back around this way, you will come and...

Discovered this charming town and B&B while looking for a place between St. MARY'S and Savannah. Beds were comfy and accommodations were clean in this historic home. Wish we had more time as there is a pool as well as patio with fire pit. Breakfast was made to order and fabulous as Zach is a trained chef. Highly recommend and...

Lovely quiet space with very comfortable bed; great ambience. Our hosts were warm and gracious. The real standout: breakfast. It opened with elegantly presented little individual fruit plates and handmade strawberry muffins. We were then served an incredibly delicious original recipe, which I won't share, as it is in contention for an award...but it was easy to see why Open...

Dear Nancy, Thank you so much for your excellent review!! Knowing that our guests are repeatedly having an amazing, "experience", truly inspires us continually look for ways to take care of our guests! What a treat to stay in such a grand, historic home on such a lovely square within walking distance of downtown. In the afternoon I strolled over to the local coffee shop and in the morning I walked around the squares under the Spanish moss hanging from the stately oaks only to return to a magnificent breakfast of fresh fruit...

My husband and I stayed at the Open Gates Bed and Breakfast February 10-13, 2016 and what a lovely experience it was. The bed and breakfast is beautiful and squeaky clean with modern conveniences housed alongside antiques in a 19 century home. We stayed in the Island room which had the most comfortable four poster king bed I've ever slept...

While we only stayed one night at the Open Gate, we found Darien and the Open Gate to be wonderful. The quaint Southern town is great to wander around and to visit sites of tremendous historical significance to the pre and post Civil War South. The people around the waterfront, the wine bar and Skippers Restaurant showed their Southern hospitality...

I take several trips to Florida each year and have found that there is a quaint little town with great food and superb southern hospitality waiting in Darien Georgia. I feel obliged to share my wonderful experience staying at the Open Gates B&B, but hope there will still be vacancy when we return :) The house itself is a piece...

We had a great time staying at Open Gates BNB with friends. The home is warm and comfortable, food is awesome! Walking distance to food, and shops. The Library in the home is a great location for visiting and playing games. Looking forward to our next stay.

We had the best time! We took a long weekend and went to Open Gates with two other couples. I cannot express how wonderful it was. The service was fantastic, the food was out of this world and overall it was an exceptional experience. We cannot wait to return and plan to do so often!

This was mine and my husband's first bed and breakfast experience and it did not disappoint us. Chef Zack and his wife Kerry were more than accommodating to us. We were a group of 6 and loved staying here. The house is an estate made built almost 140 years ago and Chef Zack cooked us daily breakfast. We had delicious...
