Open Gates was a great B & B, Zack does amazing things with Eggs, Bacon & etc... This was our 2nd trip and tried a different room and the styling are very cool. Makes you feel like you are in Darian a hundred years ago..., except with great Air Conditioning.

Oh yes! Air conditioning is key in the warmer months, but right now the weather is beautiful, and relaxing on our front porch rockers is the way to go! Either there or the waterfront to enjoy the riverfront and the soothing views of the marsh grass and shrimp boats on the horizon. Don't forget the sunsets, some of the best...

Two nights at Open Gates were perfect for basing out of Darien to visit Sapelo Island. This is an inn. It's in a beautiful old home. It's charming, it's quirky, it's not a cookie-cutter Hampton. We really enjoyed it. The B&B is located a convenient 8 miles from the Sapelo Ferry. Our room was comfortable, clean, and restful, and the...

I couldn't have said it better myself! We really are the perfect getaway to hit the reset button and unwind. We are so glad not to be a cookie cutter, unless it's when I'm making them fresh daily. I truly hope that everyone can make it to Darien at least once in their lives. It's quiet, quaint, and now "quirky",...

The owners/operators at the Open Gates B&B made our kayak trip with friends to Darien a really special time. We had wonderful place to gather on the large front porch, breakfast was a beautiful display of Zach's culinary expertise. If you want to paddle, Cathead Creek is the place to go, contact Chris Keys at the Altamaha Coastal Tours (912)...

Hello Mike and friends!! It was so great to have you and your group stay with us for a few days! The weather was perfect for your kayaking for sure! Nothing beats enjoying friends company on our large front porch or back garden area with glasses of wine. I'm always trying to come up with new creative ideas for breakfast,...

The Inn is very charming and relaxing. The breakfast is amazing. Our room was decorated nicely and the bed was so very comfortable. This was a nice stop for us on our way to St. Augustine Florida. Will stay again.

Loved staying at this B&B, we had an unexpected change of plans and ended up staying in Darien for the weekend. The owners were very accommodating on such short notice. The house is beautiful, the owners are very nice, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. We were able to walk to downtown from the house and really enjoyed exploring the...

Open Gates B & B is 15 miles north of Brunswick, Ga and about 50 miles south of Savannah. The inn is owned and operated by the Zach and Carrie. Hello Friends, It is always a pleasure to accommodate guests with dietary needs. Not only is it sometimes a challenge, but I think it's something that sets apart from an ordinary B&B. Guest first service is always at the forefront of our service and we look forward to serving you again and again! All the best, Zach & Carrie May

We can't wait for you to come back! You and your friends were so much fun! It's hard to beat being able to walk to skippers and the wine bar. Both are amazing reasons to visit Darien, and we are striving, and hopefully proving to be one of the great reasons as well!! All the best see you soon!

Thank you so much! Darien is off the beaten path, but the great thing is that it's not too far off the beaten path. From exit 49 on I-95, we are just under two miles from the exit. Within minutes you can be sitting on our porch swing enjoying the quietness of Vernon square. We hope to see you again...
