    As part of a beginners hiking trip, I stayed at the Hiker Hostel. I was in a bunk room. The bed was comfortable, bedding more than adequate, and black curtains around the bunk for privacy. The provided breakfasts were delicious! The manager was very friendly.

    We recommend waiting until you get closer to the Smokies. Nantahala Outdoor Center and Fontana Dam are better locations to print your permit. Alternatively, you can save the PDF copy of your permit to your phone and not... More
