We recently enjoyed Memorial Day weekend at the Greyfield Inn. After almost a year checking out Cumberland Island via the web, we made reservations to enjoy our anniversary at Greyfield. Bottom line – it was a fantastic stay. Accommodations – we stayed in the Little Cottage and found it to be very comfortable, well appointed, quiet, and equipped with a...

A wonderful vacation destination. Low key yet five star: the food, accommodations, activities...great! We were ferried to the island just in time for a We travel quite a bit and the memories of this vacation will stay with us for a long time.

I have the opportunity through my business travel to experience a wide variety of destinations both domestically and international. In addition, my wife and I have have been fortunate enough to experience some very high end safaris and other unique vacations through our personal and business travel. We both agreed that the Greyfield was a really unique place that felt...

From the ferry ride to the gracious hospitality, gourmet food presentations, epic four hour island tour, dreamy bike rides, pristine beach, dunes and live oaks, we loved every minute. Tour their garden, the veggies, herbs and flowers show up at meals. Recommend the library suite for comfort and easy access to everything at the inn. A real treasure.

We stumbled on a Trip Advisor review that mentioned you can book a day trip through the Greyfield Inn departing from Fernadina Beach Harbor. It includes a tour of the Inn, complimentary use of their bikes and kayaks, bug spray (although we didn't need the bug spray as it was early spring and cooler temperatures), and a chef prepared picnic...

This is a very well run "grey" lady of a hotel. Rates include all meals and naturalist tours. So thankful this is USA National Seashore. Over 100 years old and originally built for Steel Mill Carnegie family one should expect antiques, old south charm but if the rooms and bathrooms do not match modern Marriott rooms then the service and...

I travled solo to Greyfield Inn looking for an unplugged weekend. No TV, Phones, WIFI. I took advantage of their winter special and requested the least expensive lodging. I arrived on a chilly Friday in February and stayed for two nights. When you arrive they give you a brief tour of the house. My room was clean and spacious. I...

My husband and I had a relaxing three day stay over Valentine's weekend. We had a nice trip over by boat and were greeted and shown around the property with other arriving guests. We had an immediate option to see part of the island and went on a wonderful 1.5 hour tour. The tours offered daily are a must and...

All the superlatives are true--beautiful, charming, historic, fabulous food, scenic, hospitable, luxurious. But the thing I loved about the Greyfield is the way they anticipate what you'll want before you know you want it. They wait on you for some things and let you help yourself to others. You feel like the most welcome house guest. The sun slanting through...

We enjoyed a fabulous “only guests at the INN” mid week experience in January. From arrival to departure we felt like it was our own place and we were a very welcome to join the “Ferguson Family” at the only non camping accommodation on the island. We biked low tide along 17 miles of beach – didn’t see another soul....
