Have used this hotel many times in the past, its always been difficult to get a room here due to the Oil industry and Helicopter pilots always booking it well in advance, am glad to say that its much easier now. We booked maryculter house for afternoon tea for a baby shower. They were made aware in advance of different allergies, dairy, gluten, fish and the mum to be who wished to avoid certain food groups but failed to cope with these requirements initially on the day. We also checked with them when we arrived that there would be no issues...

If you're looking for a lush, romantic hotel steeped in history, this is really it. The hall is the oldest accessible part of the building and sitting by the huge open fireplace (something out only seen in movies or read in books) was truly an experience. It's just gorgeous. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and nice, the bartender...

So beautiful and graceful. The hotel upgraded our room since there where few guests. If that's not service I don't know what is. Very pleased, alot of extra services like wake up call, newspaper or bathrobe etc without extra cost. The breakfast was great. This is a very price worthy hotel. I strongly recommend it. Nothing negative.
