The hotel was pleasant; the room was more than adequate, and everything worked well. The hotel was located close to downtown Clayton as well as close to a grocery store. More importantly, the hotel was close to Talulah Gorge.

Went to Clayton this weekend for a meeting. Searched hotels on internet and the best looking hotel was Days Inn. Going by the pictures I booked a one night stay. When I arrived it was shocking how dirty and run down this hotel is. Misrepresentation is the best word to describe. Current residents were hanging out drinking and socializing. Property is not maintained. Attempted to cancel my reservation and was told that it was too late. Hope they will use my money to get trash up around the property. Stay away!!

The hotel was in good proximity to restaurants and the freeway. The room was nice but had some soft spots in the floor and some unappealing repaired areas in the ceiling. Overall not a bad room, but not in ideal condition. I didn't ask to change rooms because it was late but I'm sure they would have accommodated me if I had brought it up. The staff were great and promptly got us checked in.

Room Tip: There isn't a ton of parking so getting there after dinner makes parking difficult.

The guy at the front desk was very friendly, but the Female Manger who walked in while he was checking us in... was extremely rude. We parked in a parking spaces next to the office to check in and she rudely yelled, "Is that your white truck? You need to move it now. It is in a fire zone." I said, "oh sorry, it is not marked as a fire zone. Shouldn't it have a no parking sign or the parking spaces be painted for a fire zone?" She said, " the people who painted the parking lot did it wrong and won't come back to re-paint it." My husband told her "we are not staying in that spot we are just checking in". (pics below show no Fire Zone marking not even a no parking sign) I booked the room online because it said wheel chair accessible. I requested an accessible room with a roll in shower with a pull down shower wand. They said, "107 is not available would you take a different room?" I said, "that's fine, as long as it is the same kind of room." The last time a wyhndam hotel changed our room at check in we were given an equal room, actually an upgraded room. But this time, We were given room 110... It was a regular room and had no accessibility features. My husband went back to the office to see if we could change to an accessible room. We were told they have no accessible roomms with wheelchair roll ins... just rooms with a handle on the wall. Pictures below show no wheel chair access. I used the luggage rack as a reference to show no wheel chair will fit. And it did not have a pull down wand for the shower as stated online. The door knob was falling off and their was no room to get into the shower. And the clothing rack was placed at the edge of a wall and my husband bumped his heads on it if not careful. You walk around a wall right into the rack. I was furious because I had saved my reward points for our 35th anniversary Trip and I double checked that my reservation said a wheelchair Roll in shower. I could not even take a shower because I could not get into the bathroom properly much less get in to the tub. I wasted 30,000 points (my 2 free nights) on a room that not only has no Roll in shower but it was poorly maintained as well. And on top of it the female manager was very rude to us. If it is a fire zone... it should be marked so... we would not have parked there. ALSO that's a terrible way to greet guests checking in... her tone and attitude needs a check up and adjustment. AND she gave us a lecture about inviting people to the pool. We had no plans of getting in the pool, and no plans to invite others.I have seen larger blow up pools, and If extra people in the pool is a concern bring it up when you see guests breaking the rule... not at check in... after chewing them out over a non existing fire zone. AND HELLO... DO NOT OFFER ROLL IN ROOMS IF YOU DO NOT OFFER THOSE ROOMS. AND IF THAT WAS NOT ENOUGH the room smelled of mold andThe guy at the front desk was very friendly, but the Manger was extremely rude. Four DO NOT OFFER ROLL IN ROOMS IF YOU DO NOT OFFER THOSE ROOMS. AND the room smelled of mold and mildew. I am furious that I wasted 30,000 points on such a poor quality hotel. I would have chosen else where if I'd know there were no roll in showers. This is the worst experience I have had at a hotel. I get it that a room may smell moldy in the mountains, but the accessibility issues and the rude manager were too much. Thankful for the guy behind the desk who stayed calm and polite... kudos to him. But everything else made a Worst stay ever. I will be filing complaints with any and everyone who will listen. I wasted points I carefully saved, unfortunately once we were already there I did not have the budget to go else where and I did not want to ruin our 35th anniversary arguing on the phone about these issues. I'd like someone to visit the facility and I'd like my reward points back... if not all ... at least some ... or a voucher for a stay at a clean, well maintained, staff friendly location... for our trouble. I only clicked 1 star because it was the only way to post the review. I would avoid this place unless you can confirm in advance that it makes proper changes. I am furious that I wasted 30000 points on such a poor quality hotel. I would have chosen else where if I'd know there were no roll in showers. Room was satisfactory. WiFi did not work. Hotel is in a great location with great restaurants nearby. There is lots to do in the area, but I did not get a chance to check it out as I was there to visit with family.

Excellent place to stay. Love the people that work at the Days Inn. Love the town as well. The cost was great as well. I come to town about 6 times a year. And stay at Days Inn. I will all stay at the Days Inn . Because of the location.

No decent warm breakfast and beds/pillows are not the most comfortable. Bathrooms are old looking and tub looks dirty. Nothing but finger food for breakfast. The price I paid was more than what the check out receipt showed.

We were traveling on business and decided to just stop and find a place to stay. I found their info online & called to book the place as we were tired and ready to make a stop. We found the hotel in good standing. We were pleased with their cleanliness, their breakfast & service.

Scary 😔 Unfortunately the place was super scary for me and my friend. When we got to the hotel, there was "guests" without shirts, smoking and having some open "transactions" by the parking lot. The room is old but clean... THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT! Until I went to the bathroom and I saw a big RAZOR BLADE... The entire hotel was smelling like marijuana even in our non-smoking room.
