This basic, no frills hotel was clean and comfortable…exactly what we needed in terms of functionality. So if that’s what you seek (we were in the area for a wedding), we heartily recommend it. If you’re there on a Saturday morning, stop by the cute little farmer’s market in the parking lot accessed by the covered bridge off Highway 441, near the Food Bank of N.E. Georgia…we picked up some yummy homemade bread!

Very nice stay here in Clayton. Motel was super clean and owners were extremely nice. Close to all restaurtants and local shopping. Wasn't looking for a resort style hotel this trip as I was out most everyday enjoying the nearby mountains. This stay was definitely more than I expected

Extremely impolite manager. Booked a room over Hotels.Com. Manager claimed that the reservation was not received and asked more for the room than what was prepaid. I contacted Hotel.Com, who called him and he rejected to offer the room at the price agreed with Hotels.com

Thank you for taking a moment to reach out to us. Please know that when booking through a third-party site, reservations can occasionally fail to be transferred from their system to our own. It is unfortunate to hear that we were unable to find a solution that suited you this time around, and we hope that you will give us another chance to impress you in the future.

Flithy, crumbs on the floor was obviously not vacuumed, stench of urine in the bathroom, hair and brown liquid on sink and in refrigerator.. 7:30am Sunday lawn mowing outside the window. Overall aterribly dirty room in a town with only a couple of hotel choices

This is our second stay here. The rooms are outdated but they are clean. On this stay, we did not check in until VERY late. Both me and my husband have joint ( back and knee issues) and our room was on the second floor end of the hallway with NO ELEVATOR!!! There were 13 steps to climb and the steps were so narrow your whole foot wouldn't fit so you had to step sideways. It was midnight and the man at the front desk did help us carry a couple of bags upstairs but mainly it was US who struggled. The bed was sunk in, not comfortable. The room was HOT because no air was on and it was 95* so it took 2 hours to cool down to a normal sleeping temp. The wall sockets were falling out of the wall ( Room 201) to the point that we didn't even feel safe using them but I have a CPAP so I had no choice. Ice machine was on first floor only. In the morning when the maids cleaned the rooms they propped open BOTH fire doors at each end of the hall making the hallways so hot and humid when you opened your door to leave it was miserable. The shower was decent and we had plenty of hot water. In 2022 there is no excuse for no elevator nor the stairs being below code, even for a budget friendly motel.

the room looks clean, the bath has tub, the fridge has a freezer compartment which is good, but we are 4 people, only has 3 sets of towels, and among them, only 1 big towel is ok, the other 2 are very thin and rough. the power of the shower is not strong enough, the wifi has no password which may be not vert safe? and the wifi signal is weak, can't see program using my tablet. The breakfast is very basic and has very limited choice, no milk, only apply juice, no yogurt. But as it is rather cheap, so can't expect too much. it's also located near to Tallulah Gorge state park.

The best thing about this hotel was the location. The worst was the room which had a musty, mildewy odor mixed with the strong scent of pine. There were rust spots on some of the metal lamps (obviously from moisture/dampness. Thankfully, we were only there for one night. I spoke to the manager the following morning and he offered to change our room, but we were checking out anyway, so we didn't bother. He did let me look in another room (to satisfy my curiosity) and unfortunately, that room had the same odor. Both rooms were on the first floor. No elevator. No plans to return unless the hotel undergoes a major remodel. We passed on the "continental" breakfast (packaged pastries, fruit, coffee).

For the price we paid, we expected better. Other than friendly front desk person the room was terrible. Bad moldy smell, dampness, slow draining tub. Mildew spots on ceiling and bedding. Would not recommend. We stayed in room 109. There is no elivator.

Noisy, noisy, noisy! No WiFi or cable second day. No plumbing second morning. Fire alarms went off in the wee hours of the morning because people were chain smoking (It's a 100% smoke free hotel). We asked if we could check out a few hours late since we hadn't gotten ANY sleep and the hotel was mostly unbooked. The owner initially said, "Yes" then he retracted it and lied to us that he had NEVER agreed. We contacted headquarters, but they said there was nothing they could do since it was privately owned. We contested the charges, and this nutcase actually contested it! Stay at your own risk.

We were about to sleep in the car.... I was horrified by the idea, specially after driving overnight with my family. We had a reservation with a big chain company that was cancelled. Then I decided to go on trip advisor and found this hotel. First thing... to get to the rooms you need a security key. Rooms are clean, location is amazing as it is near all trails we were going to do. Not to mention the nice and friendly service offer by the staff. I recommend this place to anyone !
