The Mountain Aire was perfect for us. Quiet, clean, and comfortable. Frank is a great host, and a very engaged owner who cares for his guests. I will not stay anywhere else the next time we return. Hopefully with all the family and grandkids. Thanks Frank. You're a class guy.

It was an absolute pleasure. We stayed in cottage four this past weekend and our experience was nothing but positive. Frank was so accommodating and genuinely cares for his customers. There was a little kitchenette that was very useful, large shower, great views, and location. Tons of information was given to us so that we had stuff to do and...

An affordable and much better alternative to other local hotels in Clayton. You have to call to make the reservation and the owner answers the phone-no pushing this button and being put on hold, my first surprise. Upon arrival Frank, the owner, walked me to my room, pointed out all of the features of the room, made sure that everything...

Mtn. Aire is a great alternative to expensive and overpriced B&Bs and Inns, as well as the usual chain accommodations found along the commercial strip of Hwy. 441. Rooms are well appointed even with kitchenets, very clean, and nicely decorated. They are reasonably priced and the location is wonderful being just a short distance from our charming down town Clayton....

Frank (The owner) is by far the best innkeeper I have ever met. Very friendly, very accommodating. I would stay here even if the price was doubled. It is truly a disservice if you stay in the area and give your money to a big name hotel or a place that just doesn't care. There is no doubt that you...

Short trip to the area to see the fall leaves. Found the property by browsing the web - it really does look just like the pictures!! Rooms have been furnished with care and attention to detail. Frank was so welcoming - felt like we were old friends after just a couple day stay. Relaxing on the porch rockers and visiting...

This place is Clayton's best kept secret! We stayed in the Americana Room and will definately come back! The room was spacious, clean and Frank, the owner was very personable and accomodating! Added bonus was getting to meet the mascot of Mountain Air, Midnight , the cat! Annette Mosteller

As I sit and relax in a Green rocker beside our cottage enjoying the breeze I would encourage travelers to treat themselves to this charming property. My husband and I arrived in Clayton unexpectedly and needed a room for two nights. I spoke with Frank ( owner) his kindness to adjust and accomidate us is most appreciated. Our room is...

The owner welcomed us and he was so nice, even though we were a very late arrival. The "theme" rooms are unique. The rooms are small, but very efficient. Beds are on the small side. But it's cozy. The outside feels like your own front porch. You could walk to the local restaurants and retail stores. We were visiting the...
