Great place food is out of this world paired with local wines. Loved the decor of each room. The inn keepers were great host. Just can't say enough! Friends also love the area as we had the whole place to ourselves. Travel to wineries in the county very near to drive two days.

This Inn is just off the intersection of 441 and US 76. You're not too far from some nice restaurants and shopping in Clayton. As you turn off 441 to 76 it is a fairly quick left. Look for the Beechwood sign. Then a quick right on a narrow road. Then another right on an even narrower driveway to the...

The Beechwood Inn and its friendly owners, Gayle and David Darugh, will help make your stay in this scenic spot a memorable one. The Inn is a 101 year old home that has been transformed into a bed and breakfast, decorated with period antiques and modern comforts, and with a large wraparound porch. The Inn features local wines, farm to...

Our first trip to Clayton, Ga was our stay at Beechwood Inn and well worth the trip. We will definitely return. Fabulous location nestled in the mountains with wonderful views and charming hosts. Winethirty is their evening social time, giving us the opportunity to get acquainted and comfortable. David, Galye & John made our stay warm and inviting. We will...

It's always risky when you love a place enough to bring friends with you the next time, but David, Gayle, John and the rest of the team at Beechwood assured that our friends now love the place as much as we do. Welcoming environment, magnificent food and just a wonderful stay again. Already thinking about when we can come back!...

We watched a segment about the Beechwood Inn on the GPB show "Georgia Traveler" last year and it made us plan to visit "sometime". Well, our "sometime" was last week-end and it was wonderful. We stayed in the Blueberry Cabin for 2 nights. This is located down stone steps from the main lodge. It was an original cabin on the...

David and Gayle were excellent hosts - very warm friendly with great stories. I really enjoyed the WINE THIRTY reception and wonderful farm to table dinner. John the assistant was OUTSTANDING & really informative and friendly. We stayed in the Vineyard room and it was comfortable and well maintained. It snowed the weekend of our stay and it was simply...

The Inn was a lucky find on Google search on short notice. I love the history of this 1916 Inn. The Owners have put their hearts and souls into EVERY Detail and it shows. Modern comfort & conveniences but with the character of yesteryear! The wine, the food and the conversation was so enjoyable. My husband and I will surely...

My friend and I were looking for a place to have a girl's weekend getaway, and found the Beechwood Inn on line. We spent three days and two nights there and it was simply fantastic! We stayed in the Blueberry Cabin, which was great. Not only was it really nice and pretty, but being a little removed from the main...

Yes, our Blueberry Cabin offers great comfort and a little seclusion from the rest of the inn. I am pleased you noticed our attention to detail - that is mostly the work of my wife Gayle. She gets credit for thinking of details like warm coffee mugs each morning and keeping the cookie jar filled with fresh Ginger Snaps. Yes,...

Our three-night stay couldn't have been nicer. Our room, the Rabun Suite, was very large and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the fireplace and the balcony, which had a great view. Each breakfast was exquisite. We enjoyed chatting with other guests and good wine during the evening wine-thirties. Can't say enough great things about John Bradley, the general manager. He's not...

Yes, John our General Manager knows fishing in our North Georgia Mountains. We are pleased you enjoyed conversation with him on the best things to do while in our corner of Georgia, and that he delighted you with a delicious breakfast. I will pass on to John your thanks and appreciation. David Darugh
