Just back from a quick overnight "staycation". My husband and I enjoy historic buildings and architecture, and this fit the bill! Going to Winter Park is like going to a different place entirely--a hidden gem right in the middle of Orlando! Many of the things that other reviewers seem to complain about are what makes this place so special. This...

Greetings OrlandoLuv2Travel, I was absolutely thrilled with your review of your stay at the Park Plaza Hotel. You completely understand what we are about, and you described it perfectly for our future guests, so they too can be excited about the history and aura of the Hotel, and of this township. I showed your comments to the staff and everyone...

Good Afternoon IAlwaysWantToGo, We love our repeat customers, and are so happy you come back again and again to savor Winter Park, the Park Plaza Hotel and all we have to offer. That's wonderful. We highly reccomend the balcony rooms where you can relax with a coffee or a bottle of wine, and people watch all day long. We hope...

This hotel is in the heart of Winter Park, FL. It is in walking distance from the train station. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Continental breakfast (coffee, juice and muffins) are served in your room each morning. Select the Front Balcony suite and you can enjoy breakfast on the balcony each morning! We did our annual girls trip...

Where to start. We love Winter Park, the Charles Hosmer Museum w/the world's largest Louis Comfort Tiffany collection, the Scenic Boat Tour, the delish restaurants & the quaint town itself. However... never ever stay in Room 201. We were not informed that the train runs directly in the rear of the hotel 24/7. Nor that the view from the room...

Greetings Jennie-A, I am so happy you loved Winter Park, but was saddened that you were disappointed with your stay at the Hotel. We are a historic boutique Hotel, and the rooms and bathrooms of this beautiful 100 year old building are admittedly smaller that what we have come accustomed to. The more economical non balcony rooms do not offer...

We checked in on a Saturday night. First impression was good. It is what you would expect from a 95 year old hotel. Dark wood lobby had a classic look. First surprise was that they had a bellhop. I don't carry cash so I had to stiff him. Sorry bud, nice guy carried our bag and showed us our room....

This hotel is not for everyone, as a recent review exemplifies. However, that said, we really enjoyed our stay. Our room reminded us both of our trips in Europe. The place is redolent with charm and morning coffee and muffins (gratis and brought to your room when you're ready) on the veranda overlooking the park was wonderful. At the same...

And we are glad we did! This was the perfect ending to already perfect evening. After enjoying some wine and food at Luma's we essentially walked across the street and said "do you have a room?" We were fortunate it was a Sunday night - as they had rooms available We opted out of the honeymoon suite or the balcony...

Good Morning William G, Fantastic! Your story was one we love to hear. An impromptu and spontaneous stay with us. Makes it all the more fun. You made a great Restaurant choice, followed by a great Hotel choice, and even nicer that you really enjoyed yourself. We hope to see you again soon, perhaps even a balcony room next time,...

we will return to this hotel. Our room was a suite with a very comfortable king size four poster bed. The pillow, comforter and sheets were sooo. Nice! I need to call and ask what pillows they use. I forgot to ask. The balcony is right on the park avenue, the Main Street. Perfect for walking. To museums, park, lake...

If you are a deep sleeper or love trains, this hotel is for you! They put me in room 213 which I consider awful. It's right above the reception desk, next to the utility closet and one of the noisiest places I've ever stayed. You can hear guests and employees talking loudly in the lobby, hallway late at night and...

Good Morning Amy S, I was sad to hear that you were disappointed with your stay, and would like to offer you a free upgrade next time you stay with us. The hotel was right in town. Never used our car. Lots of vintage feel to the hotel.
