One of the best hotels on our trip. Good location, perfect staff, free hot drinks and nice rooms. But the most expensive hotel we booked and there were all the same style. Excellent front desk staff. Some remarks: No towels at the pool and they mentioned: Pool and (Jacuzzie of whirlpool, don't know exactly) but there is just a pool.
My family and I were headed to Marco Island, but decided to stop because it was so late. We checked in at around 4:00 a.m. ( after a very long drive) Check in was easy! The young woman working was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and clean. After resting, Claire provided us with a map and spot on advice on where to eat and places to visit. We ended up staying two nights. This was a great place to rest and visit the surrounding beaches and sites.
Stayed one night as we traveld along 75. Hotel is newly renovated. Rooms are large and the beds are very good. Nice breakfast in the morning with a very good staff. The hotel is right of the highway but we did not have any road noise which was a surprise. Great hotel to use as you are passing through
As a frequent traveler to the area and a loyalty program member with this hotel chain I was very disappointed with the staff and the housekeeping. Upon arrival we were given keys to a handicapped equipped room on the first floor - the room was in very poor shape - cracked floor tiles in the bathroom and generally unkempt. We returned to the front desk and requested another room - the hotel staff was accommodating but with an attitude. We then were given a room on the second floor. Upon entry there were several hairs on the. bathroom floor, the beds were shabbily made up, and the overall appearance of the room was that it had been hurriedly "cleaned". What a huge disappointment after a long day of driving. We were so exhausted at this point that we didn't feel like arguing. Paying $460 for this experience was painful to say the least. We will not be returning to this property in the future.…
After reading the website and receiving communication that we can check in via mobile app with a section marked what to expect… we were certainly surprised when we showed up to find that although we had checked in via the mobile app the system wasn’t expecting us and after reading the entire website and the what to expect section we were surprised to find out that they only have housekeeping kinda whenever they feel like getting to it. Same high price way less service. Would’ve been nice for them to let us know in all their communication that they aren’t going to provide a basic amenity. In addition, when we exited the elevator to walk to our room we were greeted by a hall filled with towels. Apparently, you must leave towels outside to get any new ones.
Excellent hotel for the money . Extremely clean , renovated rooms. Five stars for the house keeping and pool maintenance .Good wifi , huge parking . Great pool and hot tub. Only negative , front desk people need more training especially at check in . I will come again .
How this place got as many great reviews must be a miracle!!! My wife and i stayed at the Fairfield a week while we located and purchased our winter home in Venice, We requested (twice) only to have our room vacuumed during our 7 day stay ( at predetermined times) and housekeeping never could find the time. We left towels out by our door ( as requested) and yet twice we had to go to the desk to get them ourselves. Breakfast was okay but at times there was not even any coffee . Maybe this facility should be rebranded… Motel 6…. we’ll leave the light on for ya… if the bulbs aren’t burnt out. ps… don’t advertise “laundry facilities “ if they are out of service for weeks at a time Please don’t blame Covid when the problem is management
Terri at the front desk was amazing, accommodating and friendly. Made our stay comfortable. Thank you for all you do Terri! Rooms clean. Nice breakfast set up. Accessible to highway. Close to Venice and Siesta Key. Parking was easy. Loved the fresh cool lemon water in lobby. Nice touch!
Firstly, the gentleman at the front desk was masked. That's important to me with all the news about covid in Florida. Unlike some of the other Marriotts, they have hot drinks all day - like the old days. I was headed to South Sarasota and the location proved excellent. Good restaurants weren't close but not too very far. The breakfast was fine - I mean, it's a Fairfield so not gourmet. But enough to get through until lunch. Just a solid hotel - what a Fairfield should be.
We were visiting family in Sarasota, and this hotel was a good place to stay. It's close, clean and convenient. We were happy with our rooms, staff was helpful, and hotel met our needs. There's a nice buffet breakfast, beds are comfortable, and I recommend this hotel if you are visiting Venice or Sarasota.
