Decided to venture to another place in Treasure Island and The Sands was in my price range. Definitely a quaint place and not a high dollar hotel. I thought I had booked a room only to find out it was actually a one bedroom apartment,...More
We booked 10 days at the Sands because we thought small would be quiet and relaxing. The first room we had the air could not keep up. We had to get a box fan from the office. Second room they moved us to was just...More

Shell Island Preserve Park (about 20min away) has them and I believe the one time I've ever done that it was $45/day. TS is correct, it's a hefty/long walk from almost any hotel to the actual water.
Sunburst Inn in Indian Rocks Beach, right up the road, has umbrellas and lounge chairs you can use, on the beach, no extra charge for them. If they're booked solid you'll have to do an "early bird gets the worm" kind of thing but we've stayed there too.
