This is not a 5 star resort by any means But really for the price how can you complain.

Okay, it is not like I was not warned but I thought a night is a night and it was closer to our final destination, Key West, than other affordable lodgings. Now the place does have a bit of old Florida charm but it comes...More

Typically the winter months (December - March) are considered the tourist season, but in the Keys you never know because the weather is always so wonderful. Best advise go on line to find hotels/motels where you want to stay and check the rates now. AVOID the Tavenier Inn at all costs it is a smelly dump - I walked in the room, walked back out and LEFT, paid $117 for 1 night there (which I never got back) had to go down the road to find a room (very nice though at the Bay Harbor Lodge but the room cost $208.13 for 1 night). Best advise research places, prices and reviews NOW.
