Our group of four ladies had a fantastic time on the Grey Lady! Very spacious and clean with excellent views. The back deck, complete with fabulous sunset views, was definitely our favorite! Hard to beat that. The pool was a nice feature as well. Perfect temperature. Convenient walk to grocery store and coffee. Easy drive down to Key West. Mike and the rest of the staff were wonderful to work with-very much appreciated. We felt safe here as well. We would highly recommend the Aqua Villages to anyone looking for a different experience in the Keys!

We had a great time staying on Mangrove Marina's houseboat "Sea Turtle." Its perfect for a couple looking for a getaway! The office staff was helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The marina has an amazing community feel. We had the pool almost to ourselves for the length of our stay. We would highly recommend Mangrove Marina!

On November 17, 2021, I made reservation for Mongrove Marina from 11/22/2021 thru 11/26/2021. On the time of reservation, I new that this is Houseboat, but unfortunately I didn't know that it will be unsafe to go on that Houseboat. I was charged full payment on the time of booking. When we arrived to Mongrove Marina at night of 11/22/2021, it was very dark with the poor lightening at the site which is considering as a Hotel. I pick up the key which were left in the envelope next to the office and we went to see Houseboat/Hotel were my family and I supposed to spend Thanksgiving weekend. I was traveling with my husband, our daughter and my elderly disabled parents. When we came to the Houseboat which we supposed to stay, to get to the Houseboat you need to go from the pierce to the very narrow small peace of dock which is hanging over the water and from there jump to the Houseboat, which is totally unsafe for elderly disabled people. The Houseboat and the pierce not at the same level, pierce is 3 feet higher than the Houseboat and Houseboat approximately 3-4 feet away from the pierce and there is no ramp to use it. At this point, I called Mike who is the owner and he came out to see us, we told him that we have elderly parent who can not go on this Houseboat and there is nothing on their website said that there is not a direct entrance to the Houseboat and it's very easy to fell into the water when you are traying to enter the Houseboat. We were renting the Houseboat before and never have to jump to boat to enter, the pierce and Houseboat should be at the same level, at Mongrove Marina there are not. On the way back to the office, my husband twist his ankle because it's uneven surface and very dark. On the top of that, before you check in to this Houseboat which is considered as the Hotel you must sign Waiver that if you get injured or something else happen to you, there are not responsible. Did you ever sign such a Waiver in any Hotel? I don't think so. Mike told us that he will be back to work only in 2 days and he will see what he can do. We came all the way from Houston, Texas to Florida to celebrate Thanksgiving weekend with family to find out that we don't have place to stay at the middle of the night. On the 11/24/21, Mike send me email saying that he will give us 2 nights free on next stay, at this point this was like a joke. I am telling him it's not safe to be there and he is offering me 2 night stay instead of returning my money, at list for partial stay, because I paid for 4 nights.

For our trip this year we wanted to visit the Keys. Being Florida natives we never had before. Unfortunately all the hotel prices were too high for our budget in key west. But we luckily found the Mangrove Marina. Located in Tavernier, just south of Key Largo, it's located in a quiet part of the keys. Very peaceful and off the beaten path of the main road. It's about 2 hours from Key West so accessing all the Keys has to offer is easy. The accommodations are not that of a normal hotel. You'll be staying on a full furnished houseboat. There are several to choose from, though we had the pleasure of staying in the yellowtail. The owner Mike was enthusiastic, energetic, and welcoming. He greeted us at the front office and personally walked us to our house boat and went over all the amenities of the boat. It was furnished with a couch, coffee table, kitchen table, living room TV that had Netflix and cable abilities, a lounge chair, a ball with two stools, an outdoor patio area with two Adirondack chairs, as well as an upper deck area for two people with two additional chairs. The restroom was fully stocked with towels and toiletries and was big enough to feel comfortable. The shower was a bit on the smaller size, but being a houseboat is not unthinkable, just wasn't something we expected. Taller individuals might have to duck down a bit, but again it is a houseboat so this is something to expect. But otherwise the bathroom was pleasant. The master bedroom was comfortable with plenty of closet space, a television, and a very comfortable bed. The entrance to the boat is through the master bedroom. The kitchen was clean and neat with. Full refrigerator, 2 burner stove, and sink. And even came furnished with plates, glasses, bowls, pots and pans and silverware. The secondary sleeping arrangements were a pullout couch mattress, which did not get use, and a loft area about the master bedroom with 2 twin beds. While the loft is a bit cramped regarding moving space, it was cozy and comfortable and had a window as well. There are also laundry amenities not on the houseboat, but on the marina dock, though we did not use these. All around the living space was very comfortable and enjoyable and a very unique staying experience too. Not to mention the view was superb. Great view of the sunset over the water. While of course there are other boats in the marina and you have neighbors, the area is quiet and peaceful. For the price and if you are looking for a different way of staying in the Keys, this is a wonderful way to do it and we would absolutely do it again.
